I can see Canelo using his speed/movement to give Bivol more trouble at 168
especially now since he would have 12rds of experience against him & a weight advantage.

Canelo had no adjustments/answers in real time which is unsettling,
guys like Floyd could adjust with something completely different than what was trained for,
much like he did to Shane Mosley in rd 2 when he began switching from shoulder roll to high guard, back to shoulder roll
he realized in real time that Shane was looking to set up the overhand off his shoulder roll defense,
never in a million years did Shane expect Floyd to switch up his ENTIRE style in the blink of an eye.
To add to that, he would go back to the shoulder roll after using that high guard to give Shane a false sense of security
mentally Shane couldn't get back into the fight

If Canelo could've done that then the Bivol fight would've been either a Win or a Draw
    but he couldn't
however with a full training camp where they know 1st hand what to work on, what to expect etc
it can be much different especially at 168
so no, I don't believe he will get embarrassed & I don't think he got embarrassed the 1st time
    just outsmarted is all
Bivol ain't some killer power puncher in there
Canelo's issue was that mentally he hit a wall & physically looked flat
issues that I can REALLY see him fixing next time around.
Oh he couldn’t lift his arms? Then yeah, Canelo won that fight. Robbery.

So maybe more consideration is due for his arm punches but Bivol had canelo there to be taken out late in the fight, he was content with the decision he had in the bag and not going to take any big risks.

Floyd vs Cotto really impressed me, Cotto used a high guard and Floyd threw these wide right hands that would go all the way around the guard, a punch he never thrown before and also used some uppercuts which he rarely ever threw before. He was a master of adjustments.
I honestly don't think he was gassed champ,
those stiff pistol jabs cracking his neck back from a stronger bigger guy just perplexed him,
the constant energy he had to expel in his forward movement as the aggressor probably did bother him
but even in the 12th rd Canelo was coming forward strong he just couldn't crack that lock.

when he stayed on the ropes it was by CHOICE to try to force a fight & make Bivol open up
      however Bivol was SMARTER,
landed his basics & got up outta there
rendering Canelo's attempt to get him to open up as useless,
he just made himself a sitting duck
once again a STYLE thing not so much a FATIGUE thing

      Bivol has a safe style,
he doesn't take much damage & doesn't do much damage unless the opening's are apparent,
against a guy like Canelo with so much speed & power Bivol knows to remain tactical
land as much as you can while getting hit as little as possible (getting hit less always being the priority)
this is why as the bigger man he fought on the back foot while against other bigger guys he fought coming forward & stopped them
he ONLY ever punches & opens up from safe places, he's a very high I.Q fighter.
Also, he remembers what Canelo did to Kovalev
say what you want about Sergey but that wasn't no easy feat

The rematch is very interesting for me because if Canelo does win?
that Beterbiev fight would be crazy, Artur lets them go a bit more

Canelo couldn’t hold his arms up the last 2-3 against Bivol. You don’t think he was gassed?

that fight was mad suspect. Bivol had Canelo on the ropes exhausted and just back off, numerous times.
Almost every Canelo opponent had a clause against them.

Lara had a ‘run around for 12 rounds’ clause.
GGG rematch had a ‘backpeddle and jab for 12 rounds, then complain about the decision’ clause.
Kovalev had a ‘rehydration’ and ‘only throw jabs’ clause.

          Just to name a few.

Canelo himself has a ‘only throw power punches, no jabs’ clause.

I think Canelo has the ability to beat Bivol.

However, he does NOT have the ability to outbox Bivol.

IDK if Canelo is willing to go full Ricky Hatton mode at this stage of his career.

Either Biv is a beast with will vanquish Nelo again and again or the 1st win was an upset ?
