How come there are no outlets for boxing matches on radio?

I think it would do well with all the outlets on the internet. the nba, nfl, ncaa and nhl all have radio packages on various platforms. I think with a boxing radio station they could cover fights around the world and play by play is better than a tv broadcast.

Because boxing isn't as big as it used to be. It would be pointless when the majority of people in America don't care about boxing. It's become a niche sport and will most likely be that way for a long time.

It might be a logistics nightmare, needing permissions from all the promoters on the card plus networks.

get on youtube a lot of channels do live Fight Chats and basically give you play by play in their own way

Showbiz The Adult does GREAT Live Fight Chats I like his energy personally, some might not and that is fine, it is many others who do live Fight Chats with Commentary so yeah Radio is really not needed

The PBC talked about doing that at first. I doubt it was very lucrative.

I still am a radio guy but I assume its because the new generation doesn't care much for radio. Even in the car they don't listen to the radio but rather a spotify playlist or something like that.

K9 Bundrage does a live watch on his YouTube.

We've considered a live podcast play-by-play via Discord for major fights, Howard Cosell style, even throwback sounding audio. Got no takers.

(BTW, prime Foreman really was an amazing puncher.)
