Certainly not in 2022. It may sound silly to some given their career arcs, but prime Thurman (2017 version) absolutely was a good match for both Crawford and Spence. One Time has become a bit of a farce in recent years, but he was the legitimate #1 WW once upon a time.

      Thurman isnt lying .

spence been fighting smaller fighters coming up in weight fighting in divisions they dont belong in because they ate themselves out of their best weight.

danny small and slow, mikey small slow and lazy.
Then look at brook and ugas . Those two have zero killer instinct, lack athleticism and elite skill.
they are avg at everything and special at nothing .

porter is spence biggest win , he has some athleticism and heart and toughness, but porter lacks power and skill and is on the shorter side.
it was a close competitive fight.

spence isnt hard to hit and he does not have elite power. Spence is a volume puncher with solid stamina ,but he lacks elite skill . Spence is a good overall fighter, but not a great one . He would be life and death with a prime pacman and lose imo

Also, your soap box is actually serving as a detriment to your career. They won't hear you unless they can see you in the ring fighting. The truth is you are idling your precious time away by pricing yourself out of potential fights while your body ages in the process.

So quit preaching and start fighting. The longer you stay out the ring the harder it's going to be for the movers and shakers in boxing to notice you. So stop seeking out these cash out fights so you can retire and just resume your boxing career.
Good post but the reality seems to be that Thurman doesn't want to resume his career! He doesn't want to fight his way I to a mandatory shot, he just wants to try to beg his way into a retirement payday.

That's very true and I agree.

He had problems with a 135 lb walking him down during parts of the fight. He's not fighting any of those low-value guys.

Tokon I truly believe what you just said Thurman is at the end of his rope so he wants a big payday. As far a Bud Crawford is concern is correct!!

Spence has said that he won't fight Thurman. Thurman likes money, and fame - not the sport. He's just positioning himself to force a fight with Spence, just in case Spence wins. Spence, if champion, will be the gateway to money and fame. He'll do whatever he can to get under the skin of Crawford too.
Porter wasn't what Keef is talking about. The closest at the time was Van Heerden.

He's right that Spence hasn't fought 'twitchy'. But he sparred Mayweather and hung with him, which very few can do.
