Who Am I?

I began fighting in the early 2000's. My amateur career lasted only three years. I won no major amateur awards and I finished my amateur career with a somewhat modest 25-11 record. I fought some good names who would go on to become world champions as professionals (Danny Garcia, Yordenis Ugas, Sadam Ali), but lost to all of them. I lost my first and my last amateur fights. Then I turned pro and got way more serious. Who am I?

That went fast. Bud did actually beat DSG in a rematch, but lost their first fight in the amateurs. Good job. Boxing scholar for a day to you!

Not sure if he would've been that light as an amateur, but like many other chicano fighters, Benavidez went straight to the pro ranks.

You do realize that boxrec's amateur records are only from major national and international tournaments right? Bud had much closer to 100 amateur fights and wouldn't have been fighting the likes of Ugas on the international stage if wasn't an accomplished amateur at home. He may not have been a huge prospect coming out of the amateurs but this post just shows a glaring lack of understanding of amateur boxing. A cursory google search will show you Crawford had at least 70 sanctioned amateur bouts.

Fair enough. I've seen his amateur record reported as 58-12 as well, so is it 70 fights or closer to 100? I am not sure which resource is most authoritative for amateur records, but there must be some issue validating fights.
