yep, nobody thought pac had a chance. but atleast dlh had teh decency to make weight... floyd didn't even try and had no intention of making weight.

so besides the reasons i stated above, was each fight really that different? pac stans where all over the place posting about how pac was god after his demolition of oscar, while the *****s where out in full force discrediting it, with floyd himself saying he didn't beat a weight drained oscar.now *****s are out in full force preaching the gospel of floyd's godliness.

i don't think jmm/may was any different.both pac and floyd had monumental advantages.if you aren't in tip top condition, you might as well have been a can in there.
No. That's why,IMO, the wins are the same.

Well if oscar pulled what floyd did it would of changed the whole fight. You can't really compare the 2

yea accept most people didn't give Pacquiao a chance. And they came in at the same weight almost.

Pacquiao stopped DLH and battered him, Floyd got a points decision and took a few hits in the process.

leads into a completely different argument. Marquez would never have quit, or coasted, as De La Hoya did/has done. De La Hoya also coasted on his natural ability, for a number of years, and marquee value, which had an impact on his drive and heart. Marquez has enough heart to carry him in any battle, whether its against Floyd, or if he fought a 7 foot heavyweight. In this comparison, I'd argue the weight doesn't even matter- it's the mental aspect. Marquez would try to find any way to win, or go down fighting. De La Hoya would look for the quickest outcome, or easiest path, then quit. Nothing against Oscar; it's just the facts he himself has given us.

Well said Marquez came in as an underdog, and that night we were reminded why.

its obvious the circumstances are diffrent, but the bottom line is, both of the victors where help with a weight issue.marquez hadn't fought at 147, and struggled because of it; and oscar hadn't been 147 on fight since he fought at lightweight.
