Myth? I mean the guy is no Mike Tyson but at least is able to knock out elite fighters. You don't have to like the guy to see it.

He knocked out Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant who were undefeated and had good resumes.

They had wins over opponents in their prime such as Lemiux, Monroe Jr, Eubank Jr, Ryder, Truax, and Uzcategui which are basically the best the supermiddleweight division could offer at the moment.

He hit hard only 3-4 times. Cotto had solid chin, not glass cannon.

Canelo is ultimate definition of boxer-puncher and he had some pure boxing performance in the past like Trout, Cotto, Golovkin 1, Jacobs. He didn't sit on his punches in those fights. I like his boxer version more than plodder brawler version.

The moment he went to Able's gym and was dropping sparring partners right and left. The moment his sparring partners had to wear side protectors from football just to spar with him. That was the beginning. He then has one of the longest streaks of KO's in the history of the sport.

I definitely would not consider his first fight with Golovkin as evidence, unless you definition of boxer-puncher is running away from Golovkin for most of the fight.

Canelo himself, said he isn't a knockout artist and doesn't have one punch knockout power... but what he does is break his opponents down, round by round for the stoppages... he's a body ripper for sure

You don't see him knocking out his oppositions in the early rounds, he usually does it in the mid or late

And part of what determines how much force is transferred is the area of contact. I'll give an example of this phenomenon. I used to do this as a kid, but I would take BBs for a pellet gun and throw them at my cousins and brother when I was a kid. The reason why is because they'd hurt a hell of a lot more than pebbles. The smaller the area of contact, the more force that is transferred to the target. So in terms of gloves, a glove with dense padding that prevents the knuckles from really puncturing will have a wide area of contact. That wide area of contact with case the force to be distributed over that area, taking away some of the power. But when you use gloves where knuckles can go through, the area of contact is much smaller, and this causes a greater amount of force to be transferred to the target. A "puncher's glove" is a glove that allows your knuckles to picture through the padding and into your opponent.
I agree they do make a difference, my point was its not much, I was more looking at what gloves vs no gloves do in fighting, as in the video I showed the no glove would break a guy to bits for reasons you stated, the glove will disconnect the brain because of the large distribution of force to the skull that bounces the brain to sleep. Im dont disagree with you, only the original guy placed a lot of emphasis on the gloves, I feel they have little to do with his power and Canelos weight gain and maturity as a fighter is behind it, and his mental frame was that of the terminator. All good.

68% KO is impressive. As he goes up in weight. Common sense would tell you that he’s going to loose power to KO bigger men.
                  What’s your KO percentage?

Power enough to make people change their game plan.

GGG fought 2 legit opponents...scored 1 flash knockdown....vs a guy who was supposed to be ready made to be KTFO.
