If I was a reporter I would have asked him then y does he expect 160lbs fighters to move up and fight him instead of doing what he's talking about doing the f he moved up. So he's afraid to go up and face the champs or even Zurdo in his first fight at 175

That's what will get him knocked out against Berterbiev, who punches like no else that Benavidez has been clipped by.
Benavidez can actually move, and box better than he does in his fights, but he prefers to go to war hence his chosen
ring moniker of El Bandera Roja.
Which signifies to all of his opponent's (No Mercy/No Clemancy), and he fights exactly like that's what he means in the ring.
If this fight is ever made Benvidez will probably enter the ring with the biggest red flag to date in his career.
He will also exit the ring with the bloodiest face to date, along with his first loss by knockout courtesy of one Artur Berterbiev.

I do not know why.... I cannot bring myself to hate on Benavidez. He is most of the things I do not like- thin resume, problems training, and calling out names of fighters with MUCH better resumes and results than him.

But.... I find myself wanting this guy to get his career in high gear.and prove his talk right. I have no idea why. It is a tad hypocritical of me.

He is calling out the top 175 warrior he overcomes injuries and a only okay division to make 175 exciting again like Benavidez deserves it or something. I should just tune this guy out.

Charlos a big boy. You acting like he's carnelas or golovkins size. The dude is 6'1. There's even a picture of him with carnela and he towers him so the guy can easily make 168. Not to mention Charla hasn't beat anyone of note at 160 and got a gift against korobov
