Marquez was fighting Floyd primarily to get at Manny again. So knowing that, it's hard to determine if he has won or lost yet. If Manny beats Cotto, he can say goodbye to facing him in the near future. If he loses to Cotto, I can definitely see a third fight with Marquez.

Obviously in the financial sense, Marquez won big last Saturday night. I say, he should take some time off, evaluate his situation, and decide whether or not to continue fighting. Marquez is not getting any younger and he's taken his share of punishment in his career; I'd hate for him to continue and get hurt...

          Nothing to be ashamed off.
Have one or two more fights and retire. Extra 1/2 mill.

Big respect to Marquez, he has always had heart and not afraid to take a fight. He will have disappointed lots of casual fans but the real fans still know he's the man - my respect for him has definitely increased through of all this debacle and it doesn't do his legend much harm

this was a win-win situation for marquez even before the fight started....i've said that many times.

he'll be getting career-high money, and he lost to the best fighter in the world....no shame in that.

Yes Marquez won money wi$e. He can ride off into the sunset and not fight again if he chooses not to.

It's what Mosley so desperately wants to do as well.
