You do realize that when Joshua fought Ruiz, Joshua was the champion and was calling the shots, right? Joshua had a one-sided rematch clause for if he loses. Similarly, Eddie was in charge to decide the date, venue, etc. Ruiz just showed up on fight day and collected his paycheck. Today, it is Fury that is the champion and Fury has a one-sided rematch clause if he loses. If Joshua gets a beating, that's it...Fury moves on. Similarly, Arum/Warren are calling the shots and AJ is there to just show up on fight day and collect his check.

I have never witnessed a fighter with so many rematch clauses and I say Ruiz was paid not to train and to lose. there are trainloads of money behind the PED robot who held the title hostage for years

Then you don't watch much boxing.

It's common sense for the champion to have a rematch clause in voluntary defences.

As for rematch clauses in mandatories, that's a matter for the mandatory fighter.

OK name another fighter who held a title hostage for years with rematch clauses since you watch so much boxing

Anthony Joshua has has two rematches, won one and lost one.

And he has made a total of 7 successful defenses of his titles, achieved 9 successful Championships fights, and overall has a total of 12 Championship fights.

So out of 12 Championship fights, two of those fights were rematches. 10 % of his title reign were rematches, 90% of his title reign was winning.

You have no argument or real serious points that you are making. Rematches have always existed in boxing, and they are warranted under some circumstances.

Held the Title Hostage for years?
Anyone reading your Post would think AJ actually had rematch fights after all of his Title defenses

                    There is always a twist.

I told people that there is a opportunistic reason as to why Fury has jumped at Joshua now.

1: He most likely senses he is maybe still shook from his two loses to Usyk.

So he wants to derail the plans of Joshua rebuilding, and is jumping at him. There is nothing wrong with this at all from Fury, but if people are real? You know what is happening.

I personally don't think Joshua should be shook from the Usyk loses, he performed well in his last fight and improved. Irrespective of the loss, he fought a better fight against one of boxing's pound for pound best etc.
Wales are playing rugby on the November date which is the only UK venue with a roof.
