Andy has real epic speed... He needs to set down a bit more on those shots to make them effective enough to stop Wilder. Wilder has incredible foot speed and Ruiz is really looking in the belly of the beast to try to counter Wilder.

Very interesting fight because Wilder has so much power he can be off balance and still catch you (Ortiz second fight). But I think there might be some truth to the fact that Ruiz has more pure stopping power than Fury.

He fought scared to death once he felt the old man’s power. Barely won. I don’t even think he won tbh. Draw at best.

Wilder critics will say Ruiz just beat Wilder’s best win but Wilder beat a younger Ortiz and stopped him twice. They won’t care about those facts.

Anyway, the build up to this fight should be great. Lots of fans underrating Wilder because he lost to Tyson Fury. But Ruiz is nowhere near as good as Fury.

Once Ruiz feels Wilder’s power, he will be on the run until Wilder catches him and drops him hard for the TKO.
I disagree. Ruiz was smart to avoid a shootout with Ortiz and it showed maturity to stay away from Ortiz' power shot. Ruiz fought smart...And Ortiz looked splendid , so his age did not become a factor... He was not shot. Ruiz fought a smart fight... and he ensured that other fighters like Wilder would call him out because he did not do more than he had to, hence looks beatable.

Ruiz feels comfortable when he invites the opponent in a close range. It is very unlikely Wilder will fight that way. Wilder prefers distance and he tries to target the opponent with a big right hand. Ruiz is also not Fury`s size to just maul Wilder on the ropes. In can easily see Wilder stopping Ruiz after Ruiz misses some counters.

Ruiz let Ortiz have his way back into the fight. That's extremely dangerous to do against Wilder

Wilder v ruiz is a good competitive pick em fight, and it's interesting as ruiz has power comparable to wilder

Ortiz was bragging about how he would KO Ruiz but that didn't happen. He couldn't even get a knockdown. Ortiz was just jabbing because when he would throw the left Ruiz was looking to step inside and unload his combos which he did effectively at times. Ruiz thought he was up on the cards going into round 12 and was willing to give that up. He didn't want to risk a knockout or 10-8 or 10-7 round knock down. A wise choice. He did what was needed to get the win and move on. Ortiz was getting desperate in 12 because he knew a knockout was needed to win.

You thought AJ and Arreola peppered Ruiz with right hands. Once again, long-term memory doesn't work in the boxing community.
