I must have missed this one. Where in the article did you get this?

What was basically signified is that the two of them came to a side agreement prior to the fight which amounted to a change to the contracted weight. Had Mayweather come in at 146 after not making such a contracted change, he would have had to pay penalties amounting to $1 million, much of which (50% according to a prior poster) would have gone to the NSAC. By changing the contracted weight limit and paying Marquez $600k for the 2 extra pounds, it would seem that Marquez gains an extra $100k and Mayweather saves $400k.

Of course it's probably not quite this simple and the NSAC probably still got its hands on some currency, but the point is that this seems like a political move nonetheless. My impression is that Mayweather and Marquez established a side deal which largely cut the NSAC out, as a means of dealing with the weight issue.

Mayweather said a long time ago when he was at the Mosley/Vargas
fight. He said that Mosley swings too wide to be effective against him
and I think he is right. Floyd is too good of a defensive counter puncher
to be afraid of Mosley who got countered by the not so defensive
counter puncher in Miguel Cotto. I swear some of you guys are
reaching when it comes to this Mosley topic. Floyd would beat Mosley.
Mosley is only fast against fighters slower than him. Floyd is fast
in and on the move, Mosley would be competitve but would lose
and Im willing to bet points with anybody when/If this fight happens.
Actually I think Mosley stepping to Floyd was staged by Golden Boy.
Dont be surprised if a Mayweather/Mosley fight happens.

there is still no mention of how Floyd/Marquez pay-per-view did. a lot of idiots were hoping it bombs. Also a lot of fools still don't want to accept that Mayweather is a great fighter. This is the same Marquez that gave Pacquiao a tough time, but against Floyd he looked like a novice. Floyd's timing was perfect, his offence a joy to watch and his defence second to none. Stop this **** of criticizing a great boxer becoz of his skin colour.

Floyd Mayweather Jr is indeed a great fighter and it doesnt
matter what size a fighter is, he will find a way to win and
              look impressive doing it.

Will see which one it will be come Nov 10.
You mean Nov 14. It will depend how cotto will time packy.
As for floyd, I do agree that stylistically, its harder for manny to win against him when compared against cotto/mosley imho.

This was never about skin colour, he gets criticized because the man got no integrity.

And definitely not the same Marquez, Marquez at 148 was evidently slower and ineffective. (kinda like Pavlik at lightheavy against Hopkins)
