From what I gathered last night it seemed that the HBO crew was doin the opposite.
Steward seemed to laugh a couple times when the topic came up, it's somewhat odd that though Lampley said not to count Cotto out that it was Steward seeming to favor Cotto and I bring that up cuz Lampley is usually swingin from left to right on Cotto's sack.
If anything they were dissin Manny and his wins over "a weight drained DLH" and "a shot Hatton at the end of his carreer". Steward kept saying "this is why we have weight divisions"

i wonder what they were thingking before that fight?

It only makes the odds better for me...

the size difference from last night made me more confident that Cotto can and will KO Pac..and yes I know..Cotto is no Mayweather..but if you say Cotto is not a decent counter-puncher and a much harder puncher than Mayweather than you're pathetic!..Pac doesn't have JMM's ring intelligence nor his defence..and Cotto is pretty damn precise/accurate!..so once he lands a few BOMBS..it'll put Pac at a different gameplan..like wanting to trade..and that's when it'll really favor Cotto..

Pac and JMM belong at 140 at the most..and last night was half the proof of that..and Nov 14th Cotto will seal that ****..

I'm just hoping that after these ridiculous match-ups..this catch-weight **** goes in the ****ter and we can get a WW tourney going with Cotto, Mayweather, Mosley, Clottey, Berto, and Margarito if he comes back to WW after his suspension..

catch weight is for fighters whose "capable" and can adopt to another weight he's fighting.. theres nothing wrong pac's fighting these WW.. i mean, he has some skills to be at that level, cotto is not really that huge and tall

cotto's punching speed is deceptive and that comes from the fighter's overall movement. maybe coz he know how to shorten his punches in close up situations and that is what makes the speed deceptive.

cotto does not have great handspeed. it is good, but not great. cotto's timing is better than his handspeed.

skills go to pac? if you mean boxing skills I would disagree with you on that. manny just looks good because he is so fast but skills wise they are about the same.
cotto is a very good boxer but you might not see it that way.
