I know it was set up for Canelo to be the next KING OF BOXING after PPVweather retired but he's sure not acting like it. Canelo's position of not wanting to fight Mexicans is a bit off the mark for sure. I know folks are going to get their draws in a bunch over that strange comment but let's get a couple of things straight. There is no such thing as s "Mexican race" so not wanting to fight Mexicans does not make him a racist. Second Benavidez is not a Mexican. He is an American plain and simple.

Most Mexicans from Mexico don’t consider US born aka Mexican Americans to truly be Mexican. Same for most other countries regardless of the background. As far as Benavidez , he’s also half Ecuadorian so if canelo refuses to fight him using this same logic, it’s straight bullsh**.
