I'm a boxing fan first, but I follow mma aswell. This was one of the weakest UFC card in a long time. btw I think UFC is having another ppv this weekend. I'm very curious to see what the ppv buys are for the gayrunner fight.Comment

Mosley was obviously searched because people heard about his confrontation with Mayweather, you could've figured that one out for yourself.
And we're talking about millions and millions of searches for it to reach #1. For you to claim that the reason UFC is at #7 while boxing is #1 is because the 10 million searches from people that seperated them had missed boxing because they ordered the UFC PPV shows what a ridiculous arguement you're making. You should be ashamed of yourself for coming into this thread with that ****.Comment

Promoting up and comers is a good thing; but it doesn't sell PPV's. If they wanted to make that a card it's fine; but they have to headline it with something better than Franklin and Belfort. Nobody cared.
Nobody.
These were a bunch of painful fights to watch; let alone actually get amped up about.Last edited by Dirt E Gomez; 09-20-2009, 10:13 PM.Comment

Oh really? I didnt realize Mirko Cro Cop, Rich Franklin, Vitor Belfort, Frank Trigg, Josh Koscheck, or Hermes Franca were "up and comers" but thanks for clearing that up for me.Comment

no he didn't, what a ****** statement, he didn't have the same popularity back then.Do you think Pac ranked #1 when he fought piss mouth Marquez? Was it a momentus event that was talked about by every faction of the general public whether they're boxing fans or not like when Mayweather fought him? Would the PPV numbers it brought in be enough to beat a UFC card that was being shown the same night? There's your answer.Comment

Which is what I said in my later statement.
I'm not claiming that. I said....And we're talking about millions and millions of searches for it to reach #1. Using trending to show durable popularity is just farting in the wind.or people didn't see the match and were checking for results.
Next thing you're going to tell us is that the cowboys are popular because everyone looked up the NY/Dallas game tomorrow.Comment
