    Mayweather might have had a size advantage from the weight. But he had the speed and overall ability over Marquez regardless of weight.

    And that holds true for every opponent Floyd has ever faced.
    of course they are different sizes & one fighter will always have a advantage over the other even if they are in the same division.

    But to choose a 36 year old career featherweight who barely got his feet wet at 135 with 2 fights to fight a 147 pounder? cmon brah.

    Yet people say its a tune up but want to make a argument for marquez being p4p 2#. That doesnt make it okay.

    he's been at welterweight since 2005. He has fought 2 welterweights;

    zab judah & baldomir.

    the rest;

    sharmba mitchell
    ricky hatton
    juan manuel marquez.
    & maybe manny pacquiao.

    That's inexcusable.

      Just a piece of information:

      Mayweather was 152 for the Commission-supervised pre-weighin last week.

      I haven't heard any Mayweather supporters provide that. And I notice that the Mayweather haters are trying to put a "he was 160" spin on it.

      Well, again, he was 152 last week. That is a fact. Which is consistent with his weight at the 30-day WBC pre-weighin for The World Awaits.

      Marquez gave up four pounds in the ring last night.

      I have read some people attempting to spin it that FMJ was "twenty pounds" heavier than Marquez. Well, if that was the case, then a dehydrated, weight-drained mayweather did that to Marquez. And if FMJ looks like that when he is weight drained....sheesh.

      As you were, gentlemen.

          Horus bro you can't really believe that?!
          Do you agree with what Floyd did? I think he came in heavy on purpose and the whole weight issue taints the victory esp in hindsight.
          The playing field was already uneven and Floyd felt the need to make it that little bit less level

            Mr.counterfeit cash & fans will say things like

            "but floyd also fights big guys. He just doesnt pick on little guys, look at oscar at 154, baldomir at 147"

            SMOKE & MIRORRS.

            Mr.counterfeit cash will pick a big guys that he knows he can outbox & outmaneuver. Baldomir & oscar. His stay at 147 consists of fighting big name guys that are smaller or dont really pose any great threat.

            vs sharmba mitchell - a aging lightweight juniorwelter he makes him move up to 147.

            vs hatton - a career 140 pounder made him move up to 147.

            now marquez - a 36 year old career featherweight with 2 fights at 135 vs a 38 year old casamayor who almost got knocked out of the ring by katsidis & got thoroughly outboxed by santa cruz, HE HAD TO MAKE HIM FIGHT A FULL FLEDGED WELTERWEIGHT.

            Who's next Pacquiao?

            What was worse is the sky sports broadcast of the fight & analysis. they just completely ignored the the obvious size discrepancy & just continued to hail mr.counterfeit cash as the second coming of ray leonard & compared it to leonards return vs marvin hagler.

            utterly shameless.
            B*tch who aint nobody impressed with the history of Casamyor. He was a hell of a fighter. It doesnt matter whos next they lose and you nodat.

                  So... you're what, wanting him to fight bigger opponents? That seems hypocritical. If you want him to fight opponents of relative size; name one worth fighting. I'm pretty sure everybody would agree that Mosley, Cotto, PWill, Marg, etc are all larger than PBF.

                  You can try to discredit him all you want but all it does is make every division look like ****. The fact is; on an even ground floyd beats anybody. He didn't need a leg up w/ the weight; but he had one.

                  Live with it. Move on. He was bigger. Boo-fucking-hoo.

                      Yeah but Mr Pink is talking about Height now. Solis was undefeated and he was 5' 8" and that was the closest thing to a top undefeated prime fighter that Pacquiao fought.
