Yeah because Haymon, Arum, De La Hoya do such a great job getting along with each other & made all the fights we've been asking for with no politics involved.

All promoter got along for decades until Eddie Hearn come along, he was the first promoter to break up the harmony.

It appears that the only thing these promoters (big and small) have in common is their contempt for Hearn. Sometimes that contempt will lead to them teaming up against Matchroom, but mostly every big promotion operates on an island and nothing changes. Hearn breeds so much contempt because his constant media presence allows us a glimpse into what happens behind the scenes. He says/does too much for the old guard to accept him, and Hearn always says he doesn't plan to be promoting when he's geriatric like Arum/Warren.

Matchroom lost a purse bid, big deal. As long as the match-up happens, who cares where? The fight will probably still take place in the UK, so Buatsi will still have home advantage and this is a title eliminator. It doesn't really benefit either Hearn or Buatsi for this match-up to fall through.

A few years back when Hearn’s company took off after Joshua won his belts I took some heat from a lot of posters.

In the early days of negotiations between Wilder & Joshua I said Hearn would be the reason it didn’t happen. All the Hearn groupies had the “Earn with Hearn” modo in overdrive. I said his constant social media outbursts about what happened behind close doors would bite him in the arse. Did Fred & Barney go home & discuss with Wilma & Betty what was said at the Water Buffalo meetings? NO they did not.

Another thing I pointed out was his childish name calling & public bashing of other promoters & managers. Shelly Finkel has managed Mike Tyson & The Klitschko brothers. He has been managing Wilder for years. With his resume of HWs he has managed you would think Eddy would treat him with the utmost respect but instead continually referred to him as “Shirley” during live interviews. To me Hearn seems like a difficult guy to deal with & all the long time promoters knew Hearn was like milk & had a shelf life. Without Joshua & Canelo he would have no stroke as his roster is thinning out the last few years…

It really comes as no surprise to me seeing his inability to land the big fight for several of his former clients & watching him lose purse bids on several key matchups involving his fighters or potential clients.

Hearn had a great run overseas but now he is in a tough position & his 3 biggest fighters are coming off tough losses. Frank Warren is the man in UK now… Fury WBC champion going for undisputed. Dubois & Joyce in mandatory positions… How the landscape has changed in the UK.

Excellent post. I like it. Frankie has definitely retaken the mantle and Queensbury rules the realm of British boxing. I wonder just how much hearn’s budget has been slashed. Golden Boy is clearly the outfit pushing boxing for dazn.
One thing is for sure, Haymon, Arum, DLH, Warren, and Dibella seem to have no use for Hearn. That’s the one thing they all seem to agree on.

But honestly I don’t favour him at all in this fight
I think he gets picked apart , won’t be that easy to steal rounds off Buatsi from what I’ve seen of him

I favor Buatsi as well but the way I envision a scenario with Pascal winning is Buatsi getting careless and caught with one of those wide overhand rights from Jean that seem to land more often than they should.

Buatsi’s team should be looking and studying that
And the fact that Pascal likes to steal rounds is another thing they should be watching for
