Marquez was 148, Mayweather looked about 10 pounds heavier to me so it wouldn't surprised me if he was 161.

What is this rumor about Mayweather coming in at 161 pounds last night?

i'm not saying he was like 20 lbs. bigger but i think he might have gained 5 or more pounds the last 2 years or so.
it's normal.
he weighed around 150 fight night against oscar and ricky. i think 155 or so is a good guess.

it's been 2 years almost. people gain weight. it's natural!

Dont think so, and on top of that he seemed slower in The Oscar fight then last night.
Do Mosley, Cotto, or Margarito even come in over 160?? Cause Mayweather sure as hell aint bigger then them on fight night.

2) floyd does grow you know.. and he had a 2 year layoff
3) against dlh, that was his first fight at 154 lbs.
4) if floyd was 148-150 lbs, then why didn't he allow them to weigh him?
Originally posted by slicksouthpaw16 View PostMayweather is naturally smaller than all of them though, don't forget he started his career near featherweight so he has a small frame.
He has that type of body that won't carry weight well if he was to keep moving up in weight.
Against Oscar, he looked a lot slower than he did in any of his welterweight fights
and his legs looked more flat.
I can see him weighing in the mid 150's, but anything in the 160's is pushing it IMO.
He would have been noticeably bigger and i couldn't see any difference.
Plus he would have lost speed.

But he's no smaller than a guys like Berto, Collazo, Clottey, or Cotto ; their body states are all roughly the same.
Just because he started at a smaller weight than the one he's fighting at doesn't mean that now (in his 30's, with his body completely matured) he's smaller than them.
Mosley also used to be a "little guy".
This one guy named "Pacquiao" as well.
Pacquaio looks like hes comfortable at the higher weights, but you still see a pretty big difference between him and all of the other natural 147 pounders. Oscar and Cotto dwarfs him in size.Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 09-21-2009, 12:34 AM.
