What is this rumor about Mayweather coming in at 161 pounds last night?

Marquez was 148, Mayweather looked about 10 pounds heavier to me so it wouldn't surprised me if he was 161.

i was talking about the arms and shoulders area.

i'm not saying he was like 20 lbs. bigger but i think he might have gained 5 or more pounds the last 2 years or so.

      it's normal.

he weighed around 150 fight night against oscar and ricky. i think 155 or so is a good guess.

he weighed more for ricky at 147 than oscar at 154 did he not?

it's been 2 years almost. people gain weight. it's natural!

Dont think so, and on top of that he seemed slower in The Oscar fight then last night.

Do Mosley, Cotto, or Margarito even come in over 160?? Cause Mayweather sure as hell aint bigger then them on fight night.

Mayweather's hand speed was faster against Marquez then DLH. I found that weird.

lol and people were complaining about him looking slow on his pad work before the fight.

                1) floyd didn't make the 144 catchweight

                2) floyd does grow you know.. and he had a 2 year layoff

                3) against dlh, that was his first fight at 154 lbs.

                4) if floyd was 148-150 lbs, then why didn't he allow them to weigh him?

if floyd is so small then why couldn't he make the 144 lbs catchweight?

He has that type of body that won't carry weight well if he was to keep moving up in weight.
he looks fine at 154-160 lbs.

Against Oscar, he looked a lot slower than he did in any of his welterweight fights
                no he didn't

and his legs looked more flat.
that's how he fights... slipping punches is a greater part of his defense than being mobile.

I can see him weighing in the mid 150's, but anything in the 160's is pushing it IMO.
he looked anywhere from 154-160.... a MW

He would have been noticeably bigger and i couldn't see any difference.
he looked like king kong in there w/ jmm

Plus he would have lost speed.
not if he does it right... (ie. drinking urine, eating tacos, throwing rocks)

Floyd is bigger no doubt it is really a matter of how much, it is tough to say.

cause jmm put on too much weight.... it slowed him down

But he's no smaller than a guys like Berto, Collazo, Clottey, or Cotto ; their body states are all roughly the same.

Just because he started at a smaller weight than the one he's fighting at doesn't mean that now (in his 30's, with his body completely matured) he's smaller than them.

Mosley also used to be a "little guy".

This one guy named "Pacquiao" as well.
Quintana was also a pretty big welter, he has the frame of a junior middleweight (where hes fighting comfortably at now) and hes about 5'9/5'10 and Cotto is clearly bigger than Mayweather when it comes to mass. The thing is, is that all of these fighters have bigger frames than Mayweather. Mosley was huge even as a lightweight, so he had no problem putting on the extra weight. Mayweather is only 5'7/5'8 and was skinny even at the smaller weight classes. When Berto was a high school football player, he weighed 185 and was somehow able to bring his weight all the way down to 147, so hes used to being heavy and you can tell by his big arms.

Pacquaio looks like hes comfortable at the higher weights, but you still see a pretty big difference between him and all of the other natural 147 pounders. Oscar and Cotto dwarfs him in size.
