Hell no! Cotto would lay his ass to sleep, for sure.
I still think JMM could beat Cotto.

I think Margarito took something out of Cotto too. I actually had a really high opinion of Cotto up until he got beat by Margarito. But I think that fight absolutely ruined him. You guys need to ask yourself this. Why was JMM able to knock out a guy who had a better chin than Diego Corrales in Casamayor, and Clottey went the distance with Chico? And the fact that the Clottey-Cotto fight was more of a life and death struggle for Cotto made me think his time at the elite level is running thin. The reason why I'm picking Cotto to beat Pac and not JMM is simply based on styles. You guys hype Cotto up to god-like proportions when he isn't all that. There are fighters out there that are a horrible style match up for him and I think JMM is one of them.
Marquez is an extremely skilled counter puncher, but he's not difficult to hit. Don't forget Diaz was giving him hell until he was knocked out, and Diaz is feather fisted.
I think Cotto would have any easy time with Marquez. I've said in the past that Hatton would also beat Marquez as well.Comment

Your f uck ing ******ed, he was knockled down by featherfist mayweather, imagine Cottos heavy ass hands. He wouldve been knoked out for sure. He couldnt even hurt mayweather what makes you think he can hurt Cotto.
Judah gave a better fight to mayweather by far than marquez
You cannot have it both ways, iceta. Either Cotto is a good fighter that is a real threat to others (so that your fighter is elevated in status by winning) or he doesn't belong in the ring with JMM. FWIW, pay attention to everyone else. Cotto would destroy Marquez, not because Marquez sucks, but because Marquez is simply too small (and because Cotto is also an elite fighter).Comment

JMM is a harder puncher than Clottey, and Cotto at times was buzzed against Clottey. Think about that for a minute. And this isn't a pro-Floyd agenda here. If Pacquiao was the same size as Cotto I would give Cotto no chance at all in that fight. But the reason why I slightly lean toward Cotto is the combination of the size advantage for Cotto and the fact that Pacquiao is a warrior when it comes to engaging. But most of all, Pacquiao doesn't have that weapon to exploit Cotto's main weakness, which is the uppercut.
It's night and day, the difference between hitting Clottey and Marquez. JMM is not a skilled defensive fighter, he's a great counter puncher. there's a difference.Comment

Come on guys. Cool off on the Cotto hype. JMM went in there and fought a guy that may not have the same punching power as Cotto, but is a **** load more accurate. I think Cotto is a lot less durable than JMM and he would've gotten stopped by Floyd last night because his stamina is ****. A part of me still wants to see a Cotto-JMM fight. But I don't know if Cotto will go in that direction if he beats Pacquiao.
The reason why I think JMM could beat Cotto, is the same reason that Margarito did. The dude can't defend uppercuts for ****. That is the reason why I am leaning a little bit toward Cotto to beat Pacquiao in November due to styles and Pacquiao doesn't use that punch very often.Comment
