I still think JMM could beat Cotto.

Cotto beats Marquez by KO. Cotto is too big and too skilled for Marquez.

I think Margarito took something out of Cotto too. I actually had a really high opinion of Cotto up until he got beat by Margarito. But I think that fight absolutely ruined him. You guys need to ask yourself this. Why was JMM able to knock out a guy who had a better chin than Diego Corrales in Casamayor, and Clottey went the distance with Chico? And the fact that the Clottey-Cotto fight was more of a life and death struggle for Cotto made me think his time at the elite level is running thin. The reason why I'm picking Cotto to beat Pac and not JMM is simply based on styles. You guys hype Cotto up to god-like proportions when he isn't all that. There are fighters out there that are a horrible style match up for him and I think JMM is one of them.

Well I don't think Cotto has much hype around here.
Matter of fact he gets close to as much hate as Mayweather around here lol.
He got a tune up against Jennings and did what he had to do which was destroy him.
He went head to head against a top WW and won a close fight with one eye..

I do see where you're coming from though, his stamina does seem weak sometimes but that's only when he's pressured. A small JMM wouldn't be like a huge Margarito with bricks in his hands.

If Cotto and JMM were both the same size then I'd go with Dinamita but come on. Although I love Marquez I know that he has no business fighting WWs anymore.

But I don't know if Cotto will go in that direction if he beats Pacquiao.

The reason why I think JMM could beat Cotto, is the same reason that Margarito did. The dude can't defend uppercuts for ****. That is the reason why I am leaning a little bit toward Cotto to beat Pacquiao in November due to styles and Pacquiao doesn't use that punch very often.
c'mon man. there are reasons why there are weight divisions. jmm has no chance against any top 5 WW.

no way, cotto too big, too strong, and hits way too hard for a blown up lightweight.

JMM is a harder puncher than Clottey, and Cotto at times was buzzed against Clottey. Think about that for a minute. And this isn't a pro-Floyd agenda here. If Pacquiao was the same size as Cotto I would give Cotto no chance at all in that fight. But the reason why I slightly lean toward Cotto is the combination of the size advantage for Cotto and the fact that Pacquiao is a warrior when it comes to engaging. But most of all, Pacquiao doesn't have that weapon to exploit Cotto's main weakness, which is the uppercut.

One thing I don't think your realizing here is weight divisions.

That's why they are there. I remember Horus saying how Mayweather-Marquez should be taken seriously cause of the skills they both have.

If your skill doesn't translate to a higher weight especially againest one of the best at the higher weight ; you don't belong there.

Cotto is a top WW who's faced the best there and skilled himself ; Marquez shouldn't be as fast and as strong to handle a true WW's punches and it seems like Cotto would be faster at WW anyway.

                    Cotto knocks him out.

Last night proved Marquez doesn't belong at 147.
