Maybe, but I just think it’s lack of fight intelligence manifesting in poor or downright erratic pacing. Always get the impression he never knows when to stick or twist, and those examples you bring up are good ones.
For a contrasting example, the Pulev fight: could have dismantled him and taken him out far earlier than round 9, but looked unsure when to start upping the ante because he doesn’t seem to be able to see openings or spot when his opponent’s genuinely hurt, or otherwise.
