Garcia's a top trainer for sure, as he is held in high regard by fighters.

I did feel it was a bit of bad advice in the first few rounds, when he told AJ he was winning, when it seemed he wasn't.

That was part of the motivation, as Robert alludes to, but a bit of better technical advice would've been better.

Theres rumors that they didn't get along. Theres a video from before the fight of Robert basically saying AJ doesn't like to be pushed in the gym.

This. He saw his fighter quit mentally in there. Not to mention his unsportsmanlike conduct post-fight. AJ can't fire Garcia now, because Garcia will quit. No way he coaches a brat like that.

I agree that what Garcia said was most likely 100% true but you just don't do that to your fighter. You just don't.

That said, at no time in the fight was AJ ahead. At all. I had AJ winning 3 rounds total with the 9th round, of course.

Any card from AJ is absurd.

Joshua doesn’t even have the stamina to do that. He did that for 3 rounds or so

Robert gladly took his money but he knew AJ was mentally WEAK they was joking about it after the 1st Ruiz fight in their Gym

AJ shot his load in that 9th, Usyk came out immediately Round 10 landed the first punch of that round and proceeded to DOMINATE AJ that round

I got a bad feeling when Garcia stuck his head through the ropes and the other guy was the first one to talk, still don't know who that other guy is so I was pretty upset at that. Maybe Garcia should have bossed up well before that, you are the one who has trained a dozen or more world champs not that guy. I can't see Manny Steward deferring like that so maybe some people who were saying it was a nice payday for Garcia were correct.

Usyk will always be able to adjust at least once or twice to whatever is thrown at him so having a Garcia giving the instructions was crucial to me and that didn't happen much that I saw. Then I hear him tell AJ he's winning and then I knew he must already know he has to be delicate with AJ.

Anyway, separating the result of the fight, I did like some of what AJ was doing, I always wanted to see him throw body shots with that kind of leverage. He'll never be able to take the angle to cut off an Usyk and really go to town but he had some good moments where I thought he looked alright.

And also, Usyk stepped on the gas late in the fight like a great fighter does. A lot of focus goes to what AJ did or didnt do but goddamn that was ****ing awesome **** by Usyk. Who knows if AJ ran into a great fighter.

That wasn't Joshua's mind imagining fatigue, that was real fatigue and while I'm sure it caused him mental anguish that wasn't a mental problem. Joshua needed a round to recharge but Usyk was up in his face.

I agree with the judges that AJ was winning by 1 round after 9, and lost the fight in 10-12.
Incredible how many people here were calling the last fight “close” afterwards and I could only give Joshua 2 rounds, maybe 3 if being generous with swing rounds.
Now AJ, much to my surprise, makes improvements and was in fact winning the fight after the first three rounds, possibly 3-0, but certainly 2-0, on my card as well as three professional judges and fans on Boxrec, and people are acting like this fight was a drubbing like the last.
I felt like I was all on my own predicting Usyk in the first fight, less so in the second, but AJ surprised me in the second. He tightened up his defense, changed levels, avoided the straight left, ****** the body, caught the jab on the guard, kept his own jab pumping. Usyk got little going in the first half. He kept busy, amateur style but didn’t give AJ any real problems. Based on the known history these two have I have to give AJ credit for ring generalship up until the 10th.
