I see several here have trouble with reading comprehension. Wilder was being critical of Hearn not having confidence in AJ, (which also affects AJ's confidence). Hearn reached out for the Wilder fight AFTER he sealed the deal to fight Helenius.

The same issue happened with the rumor AJ vs Fury when it was well known that Fury had a rematch clause to fight Wilder. Granted Fury didn't do himself any favors mentioning the Irish Cartel King either.
None of these fighters are scared of each other but the business men of boxing do too much talking IMO. AJ doesn't need to fight Wilder vs Helenius winner next. He needs a tune up fight to build his confidence back up after this last meltdown.
Also I need fans to stop picking sides. Fury, Wilder, Usyk, and AJ are the best of the division. All are great fighters in their own right. All are potential HOF fighters. If fans stop caring about the business and support the fights they want this wouldn't be an issue. A lot of you fans like the drama behind scenes more than the fights themselves.
Learn to tell these grown a** men I give 2 f***s about what yall make. If I'm not getting any of the money I could careless. Because if yall don't fight I'm not supporting none of your fights. Really that simple. Stop being simpletons and gullible when business men and fighters like to bring up behind scene negotiations.

There was an article a few weeks ago of Shelly Finkle talking about the viability of Wilder/Joshua (even if AJ loses), so it makes sense for Hearn to begin communicating and see if they can start negotiating for a future fight.
When Joshua is in the middle of promoting a fight, Team Wilder start talking. When Wilder is about to begin a promoting a fight of his own, it's time to talk about Joshua/Matchroom. If Hearn reaches out, then it's a sign of insecurity or some other inadequacy.
Wilder came back from his hiatus, and it seems we're back to regularly scheduled programming. We want to see Joshua/Wilder in the ring, not all this drama outside of it.

Young Edward had a very strange and feminine way of apparently trying to make fights. I don’t know if I should even say trying to make fights because they never get made that way. This act of running to the media and getting on camera and telling them he’s making offers to people to fight on his app when they are with other outfits or with fights scheduled is just weird. Seems to be if he was serious he would keep negotiations hush until progress shows a certainty at least or better yet when terms are met. I think his tactic is merely to try to reduce the status of other fighters through this media game and energise his matchroom fanatical base into social media action. It doesn’t get fights made and it makes fighters, managers, promoters, and networks not want to work with him. Surely there has to be someone on that side who like Army NCOs do, grab this young man by the back of his collar and tell him “get your arse back here.”MANNY67 likes this.
