I'll admit that there is no simple solution for Andrade's problem, but chasing Canelo to 168 seems like a futile endeavor. I understand Andrade's thought process: the Parker fight will probably make him more money than fighting Janibek, and he'll get to put himself in position to face Canelo. Kill two birds with one stone. However, Canelo will not prioritize Andrade over Benavidez/Jermall, and Espinoza has stated that he isn't interested in making Andrade/Jermall. Andrade will potentially get frozen out at 168 too. If he stayed at 160, he could potentially face Janibek and Lara (who would be upgraded assuming GGG vacates) and become a unified titlist. If Jermall moves up and vacates, then Andrade would face someone like Adames for the WBC title. The more belts he has, the more difficult it will be to belittle and avoid him.

It's unfortunate that Andrade's career is playing out this way, but all he can do is remain active. I know he's recovering from an injury, but he has to return with a vengeance.
