Janibek was his first real test at 160 and he clearly wanted no part of that challenge.
Janibek has 1 fight on TV. Andrade is 34. He doesnt wanna fight a prospect and how can you blame him.

His whole career is filled with the in between guys. And yall clown him for it. Now you want him to fight another one.

Andrade has been a champion for damn near a decade. Canelo had the chance to be undisputed at 160 after the jacobs fight by fighting Andrade. He didn't. That ain't the same risk reward as janibek. Charlo was offered 7 million. That ain't the same risk reward as janibek.

Andrade had a belt when all these dudes passed on him. Janibek been featured on national TV once.

    It's nowhere near the same

It is an issue , seems like no body wants to fight anybody good these days and it's frustrating for fans .

        These things actually happened remember?
Canelo dumped belts for Sweet Cheeks Plant

GGG refused b/c of his DAZN equity deal.

Andrade will most likely beat Parker and get elevated as super champ coming up. Canelo isn't going to fight him.

When last i check a couple of youtube videos. he was ducking the GREAT Jenibek to fight for a Canelo mandatory.

Andrade also has a history of avoiding Lara, and Jermell. So the storyline that he is doing anything he can to get the big fights doesn't resonate with me.

He is doing what almost every other fighter is doing - taking on as little risk as possible and trying to get paid as much as possible.

Having a belt and being featured on TV isn't relevant either. It's about money.

I think it's clear Andrade could have done a lot more to get himself in position for the big fights. But he didn't want to take those risks, and that's fine too. But I'm not going to feel sorry for the guy in that regard. He has himself to blame, a lot.

I rate Andrade as he is an awkward big fighter for 160, but it is telling that the second he has a real opponent at 160 in Janibek, he decides to vacate and move to 168 to face another no name guy he should easily beat.

I credit him for the Sulecki win as Sulecki as least troubled Jacobs a bit, and Andrade dominated that, but otherwise his run at 160 is awful for a belt holder and it's at least in large part his fault for that.
              - - Problem being what he sees preening in his full length mirror at home ain't the stink that boxing fans see him as.

Eddie had him on as a guest to promote him on DAZN and he managed to even stink out that venue.

Jermell was 8 years and 2 divisions ago. And it was for a 400k purse. Lets not make that fight out to be some mega event. It wasnt even scheduled to be the main event.
But its a fact that he did pull out of the fight and he's never recovered.

But since then we clearly seen the whole 160 duck him. Golovkin, Canelo, Jermall, Munguia, Billy Joe. And 4 of them were on his side of the street.

I don't feel sorry for him. I'm just tired of people ignoring the facts. The facts show that he's been ducked.

I mean, $250,000 for Charlo is ridiculous. That’s what they offered, but we did not ask to make the fight or look to make the fight. We waited until the last minute for them to come back with a better offer but it just didn’t happen.

Andrade is the common denominator in multiple fights not happening. He wouldn't be in the position he is if he hadn't pulled out of all the fights that he did. Sucks but he and/or his team were being too shortsighted and are now dealing with the consequences. Could've been the first one to defeat Derevyanchenko but nope, pulled out of that one as well.
