I will never understand the need of some people to tear apart a great win as soon as it happens.

"I always knew AJ was overrated..."

How many of you were picking Usyk in the first fight though??? Like.... None? What Usyk accomplished in that ring was amazing and deserves the accolades he is getting. AJ's meltdown shows how complete of a win it was. You all can belittle all you want. Usyk is one win away from unifying 2 divisions in his career. That will stand up historically with any boxers resume if he succeeds.

I am.sure the majority will favor Fury. Me? I am betting Usyk retires undefeated.

Usyk beats everybody except Fury. And even Fury must be 100% ready.

I picked Usyk to win the first by decision.
I'm looking forward to him fighting Fury, but I'm picking Fury.
I think Fury knows far better than Joshua how to use his physical advantages and his ring IQ is comparable to Usyk, unlike AJ.
AJ's comments regarding his lack of amateur experience and coming to boxing late are valid, even if they were somewhat inappropriate in the context he chose to voice them. Whereas Fury was born & has grown up in culture of fighting men.
Still, I wouldn't put it past Usyk to find a way to win, the man is an incredible talent & cool as a cucumber under pressure.

He clearly is nowhere near as good as his ultranationalist fan base trumpeted him as. Being Nigerian or born in England doesn’t make one as good as Muhammad Ali and there were actually fans claiming he would attain all time great status. One of the top 5 of this era clearly but this is not a gold standard era of heavyweight boxing. Entertaining yes, but do we think Usyk would grace beaten Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis, etc? Even secondary champs and contenders like Moorer, Mercer, Morrison, Tua, Ibeabuchi, an in shape Bowe, old Holmes and Foreman would have been too much for almost anyone today. Only Fury could have competed with those guys and I would love to see a good debate on just how fury would have coped in the 90s. He is the one guy around today who’s size matches his skill.

It was a good fight, it had those "things" in it that allowed some of us to just enjoy a good fight and not have to get hyped into watching it. That in itself is unusual in this era of Boxing.. As far as who Usyk would beat or loose to if it were the 70's the 80's whatever you can't call that -- if it were a dif era Usyk would be a dif fighter better bc of the era and the times he was living in. A. J. is getting a break from the media acting the clownfish that he is he should have been thrown out of the ring for his weak reaction to loosing again for the third time and trying to steal the light from the true winner of the fight. Manufactured fighters beak down after they have lost. Got to see what Usyk was made of in the ring and what A. J. will never be.

                Mr. Erdman,

That’s a good piece of writing right there.

They are extremely aggressive, and also quite durable.

Dubois will have no problem, just throwing caution to the wind vs Usyk.

Usyk will probably win, but they will be tough fights.

Usyk has blown nobody away at heavyweight. He beat Joshua, but he did not blast through him.

Or inflict a 12 round beat down.

Usyk will beat those guys, but it will be tough.

Sorry Corey, but that 9th round Usyk was attempting to make Joshua gas out, at no point in the round was Usyk in any real danger whatsoever. It worked as well, Usyk took the last 3 rounds with ease after making Joshua blow his load in the 9th.

Watch the round again, about 85% of those punches missed or hit gloves

Usyk kinda actually rope-a-doped AJ a tad in that round
I agree. Joshua had a great 9th round and won it handily, but Usyk was never in great danger in my view. He knew that he could not afford to lose 2 rounds in a row at such a late stage (judging worries), so came in in R10 making sure he took it and took it big, and he did, followed by 11,12 as well. That said, the way Joshua fought in R9, that should have been his game plan from R1. That was his only chance. Beating Usyk early, inside 4 rounds, going balls to the wall. Nash out.
