True, but there's definitely a certain dialect that's appeared in recent decades which is unlikely to have occurred absent immigration.

More so in the last 2 decades I'd say.

Slang in Tottenham, where I grew up was different in the 80's/90's compared to now, closer to the Caribbean influence as 2nd / 3rd generation mixed with traditional ****ney accents.
Difference is my generation dropped in/out of slang depending on the environment. Today's generation are unapologetic about the language they use.

I'm not convinced Deontay should be fighting again, but he seems OK. He isn't slurring his words. It is his life to live, not anyone else's. IF Deontay beats Helenius (& that is a real fight), then Deontay v AJ seems almost nailed on. TBBH Deontay looks a bad ting for AJ as he is. Deontay is NOT going to find it hard to put money shots on AJ, AJ may move his hands &, occasionally, his feet, but never his head & he pretty much is going to be a sitting target for a guy that brings horrific power.

Thank you for your response and for not taking offence at this line of conversation. Just for clarity, I wasn't implying that all/only black people use this dialect now. I will often see all-white groups of kids walking along muttering to each other in that barely decipherable dialect (some of it comes from the rap they listen to). Whether they'll continue speaking that way when they need to enter the workforce is an open question.
