Honestly I went back to rewatch that, there’s nothing that aj said all that bad … he ultimately praised Usyk, said **** didn’t come easy to him in life and he fought hard to get to where he got to, and celebrated with the crowd.

It’s not what he said, it’s how he jumped the queue and grabbed the mic, even grabbing Usyk’s flag, when it’s normal to have the winner interviewed first. He did the same thing when Ruiz beat him at MSG. He’s trying to appeal to the public but it comes across as arrogance. Not a good look. Extremely awkward and a bit whiny.

While I rooted for Usyk and I was sure he would win again, I have to say that I was impressed by AJ. I think it was the best Joshua I ever saw and even if I had usyk ahead of 4 points, I could ackowledge that I saw Usyk in real trouble for the very first time ever.

AJ vs Wilder would now be interesting but I know it won't happen.

Seriously tho AJ fights way to timid his best round by far was in round 9 and 10 where he just let his hands go and had Usyk on the ropes.

Ruiz really changed him as a fighter he used to throw so much more but just fights way to much in his shell now.

AJ is a slugger and a brawler more often than not its going to work for him not sure why they tried to change him into a boxer after Ruiz loss.

It comes down to whether he accepts it's now big fight, big money time or whether he's still chasing belts.

I suspect he'll go for the latter and his commercial backing will be able to make those fights happen. Probably just an easy tune up in between.

Personally I think he should chase the money fights. They've still got to happen in this era.

I would like to see Joshua against Wilder and that would be a big money fight. I would favor Joshua but only slightly.

I both agree and disagree with you. I don't think Jushua said anything actually disrespectful about Usyk., the problem is the manner in which he said it and the way he went on and on. He reminded me of a self-centered egotist who, although losing, felt like he still deserved the adulation he had been receiving.
