The fact people are taking what Fury says prima facie is baffling to me....he's on his third retirement that I'm aware of. Was 2 million actually offered? What stipulations were involved? Was the offer actually made in good faith or was it some plot?

You’re assessment is wrong. Even tho chisora is domestic and will never be world champ, he puts ass in seats. Some of the biggest boxing events in the UK are curiosity of chisora. Some fighters need titles and a prestige record to stay relevant, chisora is the peoples champ and will always fill arenas because of his fan-friendly style. $2 mill when Tyson would possibly pocket $40+ mil is actually an insult to chisora.Chisora is lucky to be making more than 500k a fight he's a domestic level fighter who will never be a champion. Plus he's not even British he was born in Zimbabwe and didn't move to the UK until he was a late teenager. I'm glad this fight isn't happening he quit on his stool in their rematch already this fight shouldn't even be sanctioned.Comment

I mean, it didn't happen, but if it did...
Would it be acceptable that Joshua and Usyk would come out of their fights and Fury would have a fight already booked instead of even listening to offers for a Undisputed?
Either way, it's pretty poor. Retirement was the other way out I guess.
He'll never fight these guys. In his own mind he's already beaten them and doesn't need to face themComment

Now granted, £2 mil isn’t a shabby purse. But Chisora, who puts asses in the seats made £4.4m for his fight against Usyk and £2.5m for his fight against Parker. There are several verifiable sources out there on this. Why would he accept £2m for a virtually un-winnable fight?Comment
