how the fk was AJ ever going to beat him ? LMAO

I would say that Fury shouldn’t fight AJ in southpaw - unless it’s a stance switch for all of a few seconds - or anyone that could put a dent in him, because there isn’t that much of a gulf between them in height and reach.

Ring IQ? Definitely. Which is why Fury won’t spend a long time in southpaw in that fight

Fury has fought Chisora as a southpaw, who was confused and unprepared on the day - but he is not a southpaw, he'll leave gaps everywhere for someone like AJ, with a huge straight right to exploit.

Fortunately, Fury is a superb boxer who doesn't need to fight southpaw.

Btw, Fury has problems with Southpaws too.

that is a HUGE if.... get back to me IF it happens

Fury is one of a small handful of orthodox fighters that I have seen during my lifetime, who can start and finish a fight as a ELITE southpaw

not talking about the dozens of try-hards who thought that they could.... or who think that it is helpful to give their opponent a different look, despite the fact that they lose all of their own instinctive advantages

I can only think of 3 fighters who can do it

        even Mayweather can't do it

AJ has been totally undressed in his losses to Ruiz and Usyk

        Atlas said the same thing.....

what happened in the Ruiz / Usyk fights, is the exact boxing definition of the word..... " exposed "

AJ is Golovkin 2.0..... very good, but not as good as advertised

and..... neither of them made any effort, in fact they both steered away, from their biggest fights

He honestly shared his experience with fighting a southpaw(s) with boxing fans and all some of you make out of it is that his making an excuse or lacks character. It's just baffling what hatred can turn people into, they completely lose their thinking faculty. Most boxers learn few things from each fight, be it about their own craft and or their opponent's style and tactics.

Regarding the rematch, we have to wait and see whether AJ has learned from the experience in the first fight and destroys Usyk this time around or if Usyk is able to repeat. It's for that reason an interesting fight.
Nothing to do with hate. It’s common sense goofy.

            1) it is far easier to switch in MMA... you can't really compare them in that example

            2) you cannot get the same leverage on your power hand if you switch stance

            ...
There are a host of factors that make things different in boxing. You cannot simply switch to a different combative, that is true. But throughout prize fighting trainers have lamented the loss of the power hand. preclassical was totally different for many reasons, although... there were some trainers even then who commented.

You seem to imply someone would switch to the opposite stance to bring the power hand to bare... that would indeed
drastically affect leverage. The smarter move is to use footwork and angles to set up the body so the power hand can be used without having to always cross the body.

But yeah it's not unusual for people to struggle more against southpaws.

Also I don't see this as making an excuse. He's admitting to a flaw or deficiency.

The straight right hand is a southpaws kryptonite, it’s also AJ’s best punch…He couldn’t do anything with it. When a guy easily takes away your single best skill set, you’re going to lose.
Usyks boxing IQ and skills are simply better than AJ’s.
This fight is only interesting because AJ does have a considerable natural size and power advantage and at heavyweight 1 punch can change history.

I think Usyk will TKO Joshua late. Short of Anthony landing a Hail Mary I don’t think he has a chance.

He is physically and psychologically damaged and fighting a superior opponent.

                Not every lefty is talented.
                Andy isn't a southpaw.

he controls distance a lot better, and he has better timing.... which would make his length advantage even more dominant

Fury can beat AJ any way he wants
