As I said in the Tyson thread, maybe Keef, Danny and Spence are the ones with the accolades.
    I need names

Yes Spence is a generational talent for barely getting past Porter and beating a washed up DG.

Has Spence Junior or Crawford beaten anybody on the level of De La Hoya? Shane Mosley? Not really.

But that is only down to this era, not really being as strong 'But it is still good'.

The late 90's, early 2000's and very early 2010's. The entire Welter Weight divisions, were at the second strongest they have ever been in History.

Only really the 80's may have rivaled that era.

Oscar and Vernon struggled against Ike for Christ's Sake. Ike would lose to Porter IMO.

Porter would not beat Ike Qaurtey at his peak.

Porter is a tough game fighter, a warrior. He very rarely at the skills or tactics to beat a elite level fighter.

Shawn Porter is the american version of Derek Chisora, but slightly ever so slightly more sophisticated.

Nobody gives a **** about them and the way that this fight unfolded shows why no one gives a **** about boxing as well. This fight is going to flop so hard. Two largely unknown totally uncharismatic guys that will be rammed down everyone’s throats as stars in the lead up to the fight. Awful
