No I don't think that actually applies to him in particular he is a criminal, crazy, violent, and ****** so he would fight.
There's something seriously wrong here, this guy definitely needs some psychological evaluation exams to find out disturbed he is.
Adrian Broner craves attention from the people around him, and he'll do crazy things in order to get that attention/excitement, including violence.

@ Broner not being disciplined enough to make the last weight he was (kind of) effective at. I'd bet money he planned to do the "I tried my hardest, but couldn't get any lower than 142-143 lbs, so lets fight at this weight instead" tactic all along, but later realized he couldn't get lower than 150lbs, then pulled out of the fight instead, rather than admit he was at least 10 lbs over the weight.

As far as the "mental health" excuse goes, that's nothing more than a socially acceptable (in this increasingly woke/pandering/"I'm claiming to be a victim, so feel sorry for me" society) to absolve himself of the responsibility he agreed upon when he signed that contract. He might as well have said, "I can't fight because I'm so distressed over the war in Ukraine."

Broner realized he wasn't going to win this matchup. Omar Figueroa stays too busy. He was going to lose in embarrassing fashion - loss on points or by stoppage.

I was looking forward to this fight, because I can't stand Broner.

The probability of Broner getting stopped is low.
If nothing else, he has a good chin or has enough ''skill'' to avoid big shots.

He can't retire because he put himself behind the 8 ball with all them kids and baby mommas and legal issues.....

Not sure if its attributable to social media or just society's emphasis on the primacy of feelings, but people just seem so fragile these days. Nearly every person I know over 30 is on some kind of happy pill or in therapy and I bet that half the people I know in their 20s are in a similar situation. This world has gotten soft.
That’s because as society learns more about mental health and also, more services for mental health become available, you “hear” more about it. All social media and internet did to mental health is put the spotlight on it. Social media didn’t lead to people having mental health.

Before social media, before there was being “woke”, before Dr. Phil, before all that? People just more often committed suicide (mostly men), or lived with their mh issues until death. Or worse, took it out on others (Columbine).

So, yeah, even though it would be much easier to stay “hard” and not talk about mh issues like a softie, we also can’t stay ****** forever. You know, learning, that’s how we don’t need a wooden stick and some wood or leaves to start a fire, we now have stoves. And instead of candles, we now have light bulbs. Instead of horses, we use cars. Etc. We can’t just stay ****** forever.

While I am sure some people would love to go back in the times where we just screw holes in a mental patient’s head to fix their issues, that stuff never actually worked. In 2022, with or without social media, the woke community, or the ABCDEFG+ community, we still do need to be a lot smarter than we were about mental health illnesses.
