The kid is talented... I think he is the right size and in the right division... But its a very competative division!
Teofimo is always scared. Repressed emotions. He needs to do shadow work meditations to work through his insecurities. That’s why he’s acting like such bafoon.

Bread who has a column on the site has a great expression: "Boxing is a truth machine." The whole concept of "being exposed" is about how weakness comes fourth... meditations can be helpful, or sometimes when one sees whom they truly are it is not good. It depends.

He'll find out real quick that there are levels to this boxing game, and when he's finally facing those fighters he'll realize that he's just not at their level.
Not only just that, Teofimo's profanity laced post fight interview, and his over the top animated celebration of his win against a fighter ranked 63rd in the world by boxrec, went beyond the reality of the moment.
I mean he celebrated in the ring, on the walk to the dressing room, in the dressing room, no doubt where ever they went afterwards, and possibly in his sleep.
You would've thought that he had just won the unified championship belts at 140, it's as if he had just accomplished something that he thought was near impossible.
I've said it before, and I can't say it enough there is something seriously wrong with this guy emotionally, because he can't control himself. he thinks who he is.
        Spot on...excellent post.

Well Taylor and Ramirez are both with TR so I suppose those fights are "possibles" but I don't see either happenings anytime soon.

The first thing is Lopez facial expressions. He looked very tentative, it looked like when he hit Campa he thought the guy would be hurt more than he was... It was bothering him that his power was not enough to crush Campa.

I don't think Lopez can use his power so much at this weight. I think he does have skills, but there are some great fighters at 140... I hope I am wrong but Lopez looks fragile. When his power is not what it was at 135 it looks like it bothers him... He looks like a fighter that fights attentively in spurts, then loses focus...
He was concerned about not being able to hurt Campa as soon as he clipped him in the early rounds.
I also so the same look on his face when he couldn't knockout out Kambosos when they fought.
You can call it bothered, I can call it surprised, but I think it all points to a certain amount of fear, self doubt, and insecurity.
Due to the realization that now he's got a fight on his hands, and he can get dropped bloodied, or knocked out himself.
He can talk a good fight, but if he can't live up to his own build up/trash talking about how he's going to beat up his opponent.
Then the reality, and self doubt starts sinking in, that he's not as good, tough, powerful, or the Take Over he's been so loudly claiming to be.
It's really sad to see him have all of these emotional meltdowns on camera, because although he says that he's feeling better than ever before.
You can see it in his facial expressions he's wounded, by his wife walking out on him, not being able to see his son as often as he'd like, losing his undefeated record, and the championship belt's.
The worst part of all this is his father who is trying to live vicariously through his son, and all of his achievement's.
Teofimo Sr., has been the catalyst of all that negativity happening to his son Teofimo Jr., because he knows how to push his button's/control him.

If Teofimo 'The Take Over' Lopez Jr., were to fight Subriel 'Browny' Matias, he would stay away from boxing for at least 2 year's,
Remember he stayed out of boxing for 13 month's, after the ass whipping that Kambosos put on him, and Kambosos can't crack.
Now Matias can be hurt, as witnessed in his first fight against Petros Ananyan, but if Matias hurts Lopez he'll demolish him.
I mean light out for 'The Take Over', who'd finally find out exactly what a Take Over really is, as soon as he felt Matias' power.

Don't think Lopez can beat Prograis. He may beat Zapeda if he has an off night and he will beat Taylor if he fights like he did against Catteral. But those are really big ifs.

I remember seeing Teo 3 fights before Loma. I was surprised he could handle Loma but not because he didn’t have the talent but because he is mentally distracted at times.
id love to see him get trained by a REAL trainer.
All that said, HE CAN BEAT ANY 140 pounder, IF his head is on straight.

It’s always good to know who you are (not) so you act from authenticity.
