Chris Eubank Jr Admits He Will be Drained and Not Close to 100% Due to Catchweight, Plus Rehydration Clause

    Michael Benson @MichaelBensonn
Chris Eubank Jr says he will only be at 60% due to the weight restrictions, but that will be more than enough to beat Conor Benn on Oct 8th…
What do you guys think about Eubank Jr admitting to the public that he will be impacted heavily due to the weight restrictions and not close to his best? Do you guys find his honesty refreshing or do you guys have a problem with this? You would almost surely have to bet on Benn after Eubank Jr all but admitted he's doing this for the payday and he will be compromised making the 157 pound limit as well as the next day weigh-in, right?

Like he said in the presscon, it would be a public execution if he's in shape at 100%.
And also said it's just right and fight would be more competitive if he's at 60%.

Nobody wants to see that s.hit.

Eubank jr. should fight middleweights and benn should fight welterweights.

I mean if Eubank is going to be drained, you're not??? He's not even hiding the fact he could make the weight and the next day weigh-in limit comfortably lol.

What we actually found out is that Eubank suggested the weight because they were happy with that and Benns team just agreed.

Towards the start of this video.

He did say he will be drained, but he's happy with that because Benn has to go up two divisions.

That's his problem. If he didn't want to be he shouldn't have suggested it.

If that's true, who needs this shyt?

If he's dumb enough to sign up for this he should have at least been smart enough to keep his trap shut till after the fight. If you explain to the folks you are fleecing that they are being fleeced, you're going to get less fleece

Nope. Eubank Junior must of been offered a weight, and he stated that he CAN make that weight.

I highly doubt that Eubank Junior suggested all of these mandates. I don't think for one second that team Eubank Junior, came up with the idea of a catch weight and re-hydration clause 'It was the re-hydration clause which held up the fight announcement'.

The fact of the matter is, everything has been done in this fight to increase the likely-hood of a Conor Benn win.

Conor Benn is not a big threat to Eubank Junior, if this fight was at 160 pounds and there was no catch weight or re-hydration clause.

Chris Eubank Junior's main challenge in this fight is the catch weight and re-hydration clause. He is venturing into the unknown.

Note: Chris Eubank Junior in order to get this fight, has had to make sacrifices. If he did not make these sacrifices, I don't think Benn would of taken the fight. When there was talk of Benn fighting Kell Brook, there was even suggestions that the fight would be at 147 pounds 'Even though Brook had clearly stated he would really struggle to make that weight'.

I don't think it is Conor Benn coming up with these mandates it is his team. Me personally, I think Benn talks a good one. So if he wants to call out fighters like Eubank Junior & Brook, I think those fights should of happened at 160 pounds for Eubank Junior and 150 - 154 pounds for Brook etc.
