Comments Thread For: Conor Benn: I Want People To See Me Beat Eubank Jr. in His Prime

Conor Benn is not concerned with the weight limit for his upcoming grudge match with Chris Eubank Jr. Benn, a welterweight, will move up by nearly two weight divisions to face Eubank at a catch-weight of 157-pounds on October 8 at the O2 in London.

He’s not confident in himself or he wouldn’t taint the win with a rehydration clause.
    embarassing!
Imagine fighters in the 1980’s doing rehydration clauses? Wtf. Get outta here with that trash.

I go into the ring around super middleweight anyway
Ah...so Chris Algieri was essentially "Kell Brook'd" and not actually beaten by a welterweight. Got it.

Young Benn has lost respect from ****** Talk Radio for admitting such a huge weight disparity. Especially since he's admitting that despite weighing THREE weight classes higher, he STILL couldn't drop or stop Sebastian 'Manbun' Formella.

          Yes, you're right

Although I don't agree with catchweights for title fights, this isn't a title fight, it's between two guys from different weight divisions, so I get it.

But rehydration clauses are just an attempt at further weakening a fighter who has already had to make the agreed catchweight on the scale.

Fight would be similar to Eubank's last fight.
Eubank is not Chris Algieri doe. Maybe Granados with pop and sneer on his face.

The interview I watched, Tony Sims said 158.5 not 159.
