Yes I seem to recall Fury always including Del Boy's name on the list of people he wants to fight before he retires (interesting also because, as you mentioned, they are friends).

It's practically an exhibition fight but one that I imagine would bring a throng of fans, buzz (and revenue). Nice payday for both.
