David fights far more intelligently overall, and measured. Ortiz is pretty wild, more of a typical mexican style, like Morales.

Vergil has a better resume than David but I still rate David higher than Vergil from what I have seen in the ring. David always looks like he is doing what he wants and seems poised at all time.....Vergil, as good as he is, seems to get too excited at times and make a lot more careless mistakes. Vergil's weight class is also way more dangerous so he won't be able to get away with a lot of those mistakes against the top guys.

I don't think he can beat ennis, never mind Crawford.
Agreed good fighter but I am not seeing all the hype

Yea I agree as well. If you based his boxing intelligence solely on last night's fight then yea I can see how one can question it but he had a fighter who he knew posed no threat physically, was a mover and solid defensively. He knew he could get a little careless trying to trap and get Mike out of there which was the best approach against a spoiler like Mike. Whereas against Kav when he got hurt by him in rd2 he knew he had to be more cautious so what he do? He turned into Golovkin and pumped that jab setting up his offense to the body and broke Mean Machine down, eventually stopping him. He isn't this dumbass just going in there winging wild ass shots lol.

Against a "slick athletic" boxer I'm sure he"ll resort to pumping that piston like jab of his and work off of that trying to figure what will or will not work. The only fighter at welter I see as a 50/50 for him is Crawford. Everyone else gets broken down from that relentless pressure and stopped, including Spence imo.

I'm not impressed. He definitely cant cut off the ring. Not sure what the hype is about, but what I do know is that he looks like a middleweight, lol.

That's almost right, the only thing is Benavidez is a couple of levels above. Ortiz has power, make no mistake but his technique and level of opposition are still very poor.
