Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce-Joseph Parker Set For September 24; Announcement Thursday In London

Joyce has every advantage going into this from activity to opponents. Parker hasn’t fought since last year and against Chisora and still seemingly going through trial and error with a new trainer with a bunch of crazy excuses not to fight in between since the last time the fight fell through .
Joyce is primed to win this and I see Parker getting shell shocked when Joyce is standing in front of him unlike the 6”2 Chisora , Parker hasn’t really shown me anything of late to think he wins this one he’d have to fight a perfect fight and hope Joyce is off the mark at best .
Junior Fa is the closest guy to Joyce he’s fought last year and it was just another big guy troubling him just because of size , Joyce has that and true power and skills .Last edited by REDEEMER; 08-03-2022, 07:52 PM.

The reason why Haye's victory is the best win over Chisora.
Because he was the first heavyweight, to meet force with force with Chisora and cancel him out.
All Tyson Fury done, was stylistically fight Chisora like most Super Heavyweights should.
Only Dillian Whyte & David Haye, have fought Chisora head on and completely canceled him out.
Heavyweights even still today, are still struggling to stop Chisora's momentum. David Haye stopped it 'Knocked him out'.
It is definitely a more impressive win than Tyson Fury's.
Usyk only beat Chisora, because he started to fatigue. Usyk had no answer for Chisora's attacks at maximum intensity. All he could really do was wait it out, then create distance and box.
David Haye at 215 pounds, fought a 240 + pounds Chisora head on, and canceled him out 'It is definitely a more impressive performance than Tyson Fury's win'.
Lennox Lewis would of out boxed Derek Chisora just like Tyson Fury did. But I think Lewis would of also had the ability to knocked him out, if at any point in the fight he decided to meet force with force etc.
Tyson Fury had to fight Chisora from a distance, because he did not have the abilities or power to cancel Chisora's momentum.

So in your book a schooling is always less impressive than a back and forth struggle that ends in a knockout ... Sorry, not convinced. Del couldn't lay a glove on Fury - yes, the attack-minded come forward fighter hit air all night and in the end was reduced to a sitting target because of Fury's skillset. Making someone quit is more impressive because you knock the fight out of them, you take their soul. Haye was struggling with the pace and his Hayemaker got him out of trouble. Anyone can land a single punch - see Graham Jackson for details. So no Haye's win might have been good, but Fury with his massive frame took nothing for 10 rounds, and completely took away a prime Chisora's aggression. No-one has done that to Del, before or since.
Did Tyson Fury knocked Derek Chisora out? No.
Did Derek Chisora not last 12 rounds with Vitali Kiltschko? Yes.
Only David Haye & Dillian Whyte have met force with force, and completely canceled out the momentum of Dereck Chisora.
Tyson Fury tried to fight Chisora head on in the first fight and was battered.
Haye fought Chisora the hard way, Tyson Fury did not during their rematch.
Tyson Fury was out weighing Chisora and had all the physical dimensions over him. I don't think his win over Chisora is that impressive 'Any top Super Heavyweight would do the same'.
You are praising Fury wins, any Super Heavyweight would out box Chisora. He gets out boxed all the time, but not many fighters especially during his peak 'Very few fighters could fight him head on, and cancel out his momentum'.
Tyson Fury attempted to do this during their first fight, and he was battered 'Fury was in a complete mess in the fight'.
David Haye at 210 pounds, fought a peak Chisora head on. Haye met force with force, and canceled Chisora's momentum.
It is clearly a more impressive physical feat, which David Haye achieved. A more impressive performance than Tyson Fury's win.
Big deal, so a super heavyweight out boxed Chisora? So they should.

and by the way, this is an outstanding fight and I see the man with the Irish Traveller last name taking it. G your a fun guy to banter with but some realism has to creep in every now and then lol.

Again, just because someone gets a knockout that doesn't automatically translate into a more impressive win. Emphatically dismantling somebody, though, does. The first fight was competitve with Fury, but Chisora after his early successes was largely beaten to the punch AND pushed back. This notion of Fury getting battered is pure hyperbole to sell your point - Chisora took way more punsihment. You say any 'super' heavyweight' could outbox Del, but even if they managed it, they always took damage. Fury's win was an utter schooling, a shut-out with his trainer pulling Del out because he had no more 'WAR' left in him. When has that ever happened - it hasn't.
Fury did what he was supposed to do, any top Super Heavyweight would stylistically do the same. Fury was battered during the first Chisora fight, I watched the fight live 'I know for fact you did not'.
You have not watched Tyson Fury's entire career as it happened 'I have'. You will only find a small number of people on this forum, who have genuinely watched all of Tyson Fury's fights as they happened.
David Haye for me, fought Chisora more impressively. I don't think he dropped a round to Chisora, and by round 5? The fight was violently over.

So I guess your theory of Parker ducking Joyce didn’t happen. In late June they said Parker wasn’t available due to his trainer’s availability. Team Parker said September & Warren said September. Here we are & the fight will be official for Sept 24. Sure they also looked into the Whyte rematch but at the end of the day both parties said it could still happen & with Parker at the time being a promotional free agent he weighed all his options with his team & obviously they liked the Joyce fight enough to still follow through with it…. I’m extremely pleased with this announcement so hopefully no spider bites to derail this fight…
Now has no relevance to then , it’s quite clear months ago that’s old news .
Parker has run out of options since the Whyte fight isn’t happening and knows it’s a last chance saloon to get a title shot again .
Both parties said it could happen and it shouldve months ago the reason was Parker ducked him it’s quite obvious he didn’t fancy the fight then .not sure where you think I was wrong because Parker got out of it .
The last time the fight fell through even with multiple media interviews from both guys so I’m not really celebrate when team Parker’s involved .
I know one thing they had to really reel Parker in fir this one I wonder what they offered ? Keep in mind Parker still sounds not very enthusiastic about it even if it does happen as though he dreads it this was his comment .
“Nothing confirmed. A few fights are being worked on at the minute including that one.”
Parker and Higgins have had way more energy expressing looking elsewhere as soon as it was canceled . Warren definitely wants it I don’t get that feeling the other way .Last edited by REDEEMER; 08-03-2022, 09:47 PM.

You know for a fact I didn't watch the fight live - that's impressive insight, right there, based on .... absoluteky nothing. And are you trying to award yourself extra brownie points for watching Fury's career unfold as if that was any measure of talking sense? To reiterate, AND, through having watched it - live, the first fight was not how you described - it was a brawl but Fury ultimately and clearly got the better of Del as the rounds went on with Chisora taking more and more punishment. Haye was starting to blow out his arse when that knockout came. On the other hand, Fury in the second fight was fresh as a daisy with Chisora swollen and bludgeoned into submission. But... but 'force meeting force', though. SMHLast edited by fistic flow; 08-03-2022, 10:04 PM.
