I think my last was Pacquiao - Mosley in 2011. I have no interest in major UK events now, they attract too many lager swilling, coke snorting degenerates. I would like to start supporting amateur events if I find the time and sufficient motivation.
How often do you go to boxing events?

Prior to the pandemic I was at every big or small show in Texas getting in with media credentials but since pandemic started put a pause on everything and eventually just stopped doing it but I’m starting to get that itch againComment

only been to some smaller ones. saw jeff lacy at the tail end of his career he got a gift win and got boo'd for it but it was still cool, roy jones was ring side and they had him come in the stage like they did in the old days to introduce him.
then a more local level one at the casinos in the north east. the heavyweights look a lot bigger than the smaller guys in person the size difference is really there and you can hear the big thuds when they land, makes it seem like at any moment a 1 punch KO is about to happen when theyre fighting which in reality is kind of the case if they make one mistake it can be over at that size.
The headlining event was some regional level guy who they were feeding him some bum to build up his record and experience. I cant remember who it was and never heard of him, everyone in the crowd seemed to know him or maybe they all just cheered when they announced he was from the area. The undercard fights were more competitive so in a way more exciting. Its still cool regardless.
Last times I was in vegas the fights there were already sold out and the big fights are mega expensive but I still would like to go to one at some point.Last edited by elfag; 08-05-2022, 05:50 AM.Comment

Went to Canelo Saunders. The energy in that stadium was something else. Had what i thought were decent seats (Paid like 300, the cheapest were like $40 or something like that) and the ring looked small as hell. Yeah unless you’re ringside, you’re gonna be watching the screen. That’s ATT stadium though. Cant speak for smaller Vegas ones.Comment

Haven't been to one in 2 years since Covid hit, but I've been to quite a few. Prices are crazy now as well. You used to be able to get ringside tickets for 300 each but you'll at least be paying 500-600 minimum. Great experience though, talking to fighters and trainers. Shawn Porter has been the coolest dude I've met thus far, although I've met a lot of fighters.Comment
but we don't get a ton of big boxing out here. Vegas and LA are too close and get the majority of the big shows in this part of the country
