I go to about 3-4 boxing matches per year nowadays, unless I'm going to support someone that I know. I've been to a good amount of; Matchroom, Sky, and Queensbury events here in the UK.

I wouldn't bother cheaping out on a ticket. The view can be terrible unless your seated on the ground level, unless it's a small venue like a York Hall.

But nothing beats the boxing atmosphere. My best experience was recently when I was at the Buatsi v Richards fight damn near ringside and that was amazing, with a great atmosphere with mainly fun fights (minus the Cameron fight). Worst fight I've been to was the Brook v Spence fight. Again the atmosphere was amazing, but I was in the nosebleed seats, so could barely see anything.

          Thanks for the reply

If you don't mind me asking how much loot did you pay for the 'near ringside' seats at the Buatsi fight?

I paid £150 per ticket. They were really close to the action, and just behind the ringside section. We could literally see every punch land, and the sweat fly off when something landed.

I've been in local events, but haven't been in big fights let alone super/mega fights.
Been in wrestling matches with uncles when I was a boy, I thought it was real.

I used to go more so when I was younger and loved the atmosphere despite usually having nose bleed seats in MSG. The problem with that and why it makes me Okay to just catch it on TV these days is because the lack of sound and obviously commentators. Like, it's legit quiet up in there until something big happens. Not being able to hear the punches is also kind of weird since you get so used to the sound on tv. It's almost like your watching a silent dance. All a sudden you see someone hurt or dropped but it came from total silence and the crowd then goes nuts. It really is a different experience and I can't say one is better than the other. Again, nothing beats the atmosphere than being there in person. Can feel it in the crowd.

Though this also works negatively if you watch a snoozer. Most of the Cotto fights I caught live were amazing but going to for example, Cotto-Trout where Trout basically silenced the crowd, it was boring in every aspect. The fight was boring, the crowd wasn't into it because their man was losing and the ride home then ******, lol

MSG has the theater however and that is better because it feels more intimate. You will be closer to the stage even with bad tickets. I also went to a Cotto fight in AC. I think when he fought that contender dude Alfonso Gomez. Lastly, a fight in Puerto Rico to watch current convict Felix Verdejo at the Mario Colosseum back when he was an up and comer. That was wild. Imagine trying to get a beer where there is no line, a small hole in a wall to take the order and mass bodies trying to swarm that little hole, lol. It was like a wild rodeo.

Unlike these billionaires like PrettyBoy32 who beats up Mexicans in Ireland, my wife control my lil money so I get to go to see fights once a month

I need to sell off my Randy Bowen and comic books so I can enjoy live boxing
