Garcia said that because he didn’t wanna face who had the titles. If there was an easy route to a belt he’d jump all over it.

Belts mean something, never forget the general public matters most. The more belts they see on a guy the more they will talk about him. It's sadly ingrained, can't think of any boxer off the top of my head in the HOF that never held any of these "major belts". Each one of these mobs are in someone's pocket, certain guys signed with certain promotions get certain belts really easy. We know that as hardcore boxing fans.

I have to say, you have 2 groups of young boxers. Some who want these belts because they dreamt of them since childhood. Then you have the other group who are springboarding off Internet clout, they are not here long term. Garcia and Tank will not box much off their 1st losses, they have a fall back. For guys like Haney those belts earn him fame, commentary gigs etc.

As much as we hate these organization they still mean far too much for guys who can't become internet famous otherwise. The belt mobs are not going anywhere until the sport is completely dead, too much money on the table.

Belts do mean something and always have BUT it's scumbags and leechers like Suliaman that devalue them with his endless manipulation of them with a belt for every occasion at more. This clown like his late father has much to answer to.

The more belts, the more bills.

It's funny how having a bunch of belts doesn't guarantee respect. Haney gets trashed for hugging. We all know about 1 hour and the tart tomato. Crawford still gets low rated. Canelo picked Hearns garden. It's like, one or two belts will do, per division. Countless belts don't pay. Ask Taylor, they pay the same for one good belt vs a top opponent, as they do for five belts vs the Loch Ness monster.

Cryan Garcia knows that the Tank Davis fight is big with or without the belt, that's why he is talking ****, plus it's another way to duck the Haney fight. Hopefully Haney moves up to 140 and lets see what Cryan does about that

Ryan is older than Haney by few month but still viewed as just 'young kid', 'young prospect'
