Meh his “killer instincts” are overated. Since ruiz put him on skates he knows his chin is fragile. He always had an amateur fight style too just watch him. He’s finished as a top heavyweight and won’t even beat Dubois if they fight

Garcia got the best out of Maidana or maybe he just gave him a blueprint he could have confidence with.
Maidana didn't have a fear/confidence issue though.

AJ did a good job fixing his stamina issues by backing off the aggressive style that he can only keep up for 5 rounds...Going back to that style will bring all those stamina issues back.

I hope he isn't spitting out his mouth guard by the 6th and calling timeouts.

That being said, Usyk is my type of strange lol A very eclectic range of interests and IMHO just a pure intellectual at his craft.

We are in agreement. I was being sarcastic in my response.
AJ is finished. He might win a belt again but He’s a good gate keeper at best.
Wilder would blast him out and so would Fury. No trainer on the planet would make him beat those guys.

Maidana was always a game fighter even when he was getting beat. He was ferocious with Floyd and made a hellacious comeback vs Amir after he got dropped and hurt in the first or second round.
Maidana was rugged but came to fight.

AJ is done. He got exposed by Ruiz. Got beat by Usyk and is just one or two fights from being retired violently.
Wilder would blast him into oblivion and I am no fan of Wilder.

Joshua vs Usyk was one of Joshuas highest volume fights, he threw 641 punches.

Vs Parker he threw 343

Vs Ruiz 2 he there 373

His stamina is clearly improved, he fought the entire 12 rounds at Usyk's pace, which a couple of years ago he never would have been able to do. Most cruiserweights couldn't do it, most heavyweights DEFINATLEY couldn't, and Joshua actually deserves credit for it.

His biggest issue is Garcia has never trained big men before, what he needed imo was a trainer who knew those sort of veteran big man moves, and how to maximize a size advantage, I don't think garcia knows any of that.
