Shane Mosley Confronts Mayweather After Marquez Win

He isn"t chasing mayweather cuz he is on the b side dummy. He's the lineal champ at welterweight fool! and floyd is no champ at welter weight. He got his only welter weight belt from Baldomir! C'mon everyone one of floyds fans know he is a great fighter but no more then that. To be one the greatest of all time he has to take a CHALLENGE. Everyone knew he was gonnna beat Marquez. Marquez jumped up 2 weight divisions for christ sake! If i was shane and i was champ and had this lil guy running his mouth all over about how great he is in the same division, i would call his punk ass out too! And he didnt wait to talk **** in an interview, he did it face to face! Man floyd really looks dumb now saying he never turned down any fights? Please. Does p williams and miguel cotto ring a bell?

Ok, he didn't fight Paul Williams, but Cotto's people refused a fight with mayweather because they felt he was too green.And just because he is the lineal champ doesn't mean he isn't chasing Floyd. Floyd and Pac is where the money is at. He is the lineal champ, but he was willing to drop down to 140 to fight Pac. He's chasing a big money fight. And yes Floyd got a belt from Baldomire as well as Zab. And yes that did make him a champ. Just because you're bias, and have an extreme dislike for a fighter, don't let it show your ignorance. The man is a great fighter. incase you forgot he fought DLH at a higher weight. And Mosley jumped from 135 to 147 to beat DLH, as did Pac who Marquez arguably beat twice. So just because someone jumps in weight does not mean they'll lose.

agreed, but why doesn't Miguel Cotto call out Mayweather? Why didn't Cotto answer when P-Will called him out? P-Will beat Margo, but Cotto chose Margo. Margo beat Clottey, Cotto chose Clottey. Miguel Cotto is now fighting an undersized WW in Pacquiao. Pac/Marquez the same fighter, but Mayweather is criticized. Any fighter that Mayweather fights has some sort of built in excuse. Too old, too small, past prime.....

Its posts like this that make no sense to me. People always bring up the fact that Cotto, "ducks" people when the one guy he "may have" though he never did, is PWill. But lets say he did, that's THE one guy that he has. Mayweather has never fought, Clottey, Mosley, he COMPLETELY ducked Margarito, and went with JMM over Paq for his comeback fight. Cotto has and or will fight each one of those guys, yet somehow Cotto still needs to fight PWill or is considered a ducker. Oh I left out PWill called out and Floyd too and he's still waiting to hear back from him as well. Ah, one more thing Cotto did call Mayweather out, watch.

well, same thing i'm sure alot of people were sayin about roy at the time tarver checked his chin, i think to be honest ya'll only seem to remember floyd for his fights where he looked super impressive and thats just convenient thinkin on ur part. Mayweather-castillo 1 showed how he can succumb to pressure, especially when u make it rough for him. I know u wish floyds defensive skills will always get him out of trouble, but i'm sure jones fans thought similarly before he got KO'd in 2 by tarver. Id rather go with a fighter i know can take a punch than one that is known for flashy defense but when finally get caught he is done for the night, i guess thats just my preference....

Floyd is my second favorite fighter of this generation. I still scored the first Castillo fight for Castillo. In Floyd's defense, didn't Floyd injure his hand in the first Castillo fight? And, didn't Floyd redeem himself in the rematch (despite the judges scoring)? I have watched every fight of Floyd's professional career, and there is zero evidence that his chin is anything less than solid. Much of that can be attributed to his ability to avoid solid shots. Also, his impeccable fighting condition coupled with his defensive style helps maintain his legs for twelve rounds. Floyd is simply tough to crack. And, there is no evidence that he cannot take the occasional punch throughout the fight. The problem for his opponents is that he is not likely to receive more than the occasional shot (upstairs) for the entire fight.

Incidentally, despite Roy Jones's incomparable reflexes, he took shots upstairs from fighters before the second Tarver fight, and Roy only hit the canvas once. We shouldn't talk as if Roy has a glass chin, but cat-like reflexes. Roy's chin is at least serviceable. That overhand left from Tarver was right on Jones's chin, and Tarver turned into it completely. Ray Mercer would have had trouble taking that punch (well, maybe not Ray).

I want to see Floyd fight all of them guys too so Im on your side
in that aspect but revaluating the whole scenerio, that thing looked
staged a lil. By your logic, you say that since Mosley asked Floyd
to fight he is supposed to say lets do it right? But when Floyd
asked Mosley to fight all them times YEARS ago, what did Mosley
say? I thought so. Mosley has to get in line because Pacquiao/
Cotto are fighting in a couple of months. Mosley played himself by
not fighting right after his spectacular win over Antonio Margarito.
Paul Williams called out Mosley and offered him a career high pay
day and what did Mosley say? " I dont want to fight Paul Williams
because our styles dont mesh up" That to me is being punked,
actually he punked himself.

Floyd and Mosley have been exchanging verbal attacks and I
believe Mosley started saying he was broke and even further
back that Floyd had feathers. Floyd wanted Mosley when it
counted when both were in their primes, now a desperate
Mosley wants a fight with Floyd when his options are either Pac
and or Cotto, two more popular fighters than Shane. Shane can
get it but he has to wait in line and to me, it is his fault for
thinking he was the man in the equation but reality hit him hard
and now hes bitter. NEVER SHOW YOUR FULL HAND! Didnt Mosley
say he only wanted big money fights? Well so does Pac/Cotto
/Floyd and at the moment Shane aint one because he STOPPED
FIGHTING at the wrong time.

I dont understand why people think Shane Mosley is so
dangerous for Floyd Mayweather Jr? Floyd is clearly
a better all around boxer than Mosley and in better
condition to go 12 rds. Mosley displays less to no
defense and at times has bad foot movement and
throws punches off balance. I do agree that Mosley
is a great fighter in his own right but I just dont see
Mosley being a big threat to Floyd. Mosley would get
beat and Im sure of that. He would make it competitve
but Floyd would coast to a UD by simply out boxes
him and making Mosley miss. Ill tell you why Floyd
wins, because he fights to win and fighters like Cotto
and Mosley go for the knock out.
