There are no great champions in the current era. Great champions clean up the division and leave no doubt.
It is not the greatest win of the past 20 years, you are the only person saying such a thing.

Your posts on this thread are complete nonsense mate, I am no longer going to respond to you on this subject.

Joshua is a massive star and there are countless massive fights for him - Dubois, Whyte rematch, Fury, Joyce, even Wilder - if he doesn’t become Champion again.

Chisora is still a massive draw in the UK - Joshua will be selling tickets for another decade… win, lose or draw.
It will be a very hard road back for him if he loses again.

Yes he can still make money, but is he going to want to go back to arena shows and start scrapping in eliminators etc?

If he can't get up for this one, then how is he going to get up for those?

The only way his career moves forward with any positivity in a loss is if its a really, really close loss where both give everything and Usyk just shaded it in a fight of the year type affair.

If Joshua looses meekly again, it's over.

        Yeah, no - wrong.

Joshua is a big enough draw that he’s never fighting in an eliminator again.

If he loses to Usyk - he goes straight into any number of big PPV fights

Maybe he's just too stiff in there maybe he can never breathe right, maybe he's too muscular. Maybe he puts to much into every shot.

That fight really did look like paralysis by analysis albeit I think rounds 5 and 6 I think it was AJ did win them clearly from what I remember because he landed solidly and Usyk tucked up and his output dropped. So it isnt like he was without success.

So he does need to land the big shots to win but equally he needs to give himself the most time to be able to do it. He's not gonna go balls to the wall to be knocked out by a sharp Usyk in under 6.

Ultimately Usyk is that good that he could beat him anyway but AJ probably has to reconcile that even if he wins he's gonna get hurt.
He needs to learn how to manage his energy over 12.

The entire first fight was fought at Usyk's pace with AJ matching him, they were playing high speed chess the whole time.

Being the much bigger guy, AJ SHOULD have some options avaliable to slow the fight down. Not least the clinch.

See T. FURY and W. KLITSCHKO as experts on using their size to slow the pace of a fight down, they will either maintain long range with a jab and make the smaller fighter have to get past no man's land, or up close its a nice clinch and lean affair. They mix this in.

One thing he should do in this fight, any time Usyk is inside, grab and clinch. Every time, from round 1.

Yeah it's cheating but all atg heavyweights cheat so oh well.

You stated a victory over Usyk would be the greatest win at heavyweight in 20 years and I said that belongs to Ruiz in the first Joshua fight. We are talking heavyweights in this thread and until someone can come up with something better I stand by that statement.
