I understand that Tank is the "A-side," but for every fighter, there's an excuse, and it's getting old! Lomachenko, Haney, Teofimo, and Garcia, damn can we get one in 2022? I'll even throw in GRJ, Regis Prograis, and Josh Taylor! I don't like Floyd's strategy for Tank's legacy! He has a great strategy for Tank's bank account (and his), but DAMN!

Ryan is on paper too big for Tank to fight at this point in their careers. In a few more years Ryan and Haney as well are going to huge compared to Tank. People forget that most of them are younger than Tank and are still putting on weight.

People do not realize how small Tank is in stature compared to all the guys that are moving up to 140 soon.

Even some of the shorter former 135lbers like Teofimo carry a lot more natural weight and muscle than Tank.

It would be an unwise move for Tank since he already makes decent money and there really is no upside for him to start facing actual punchers in the higher weights who will have a lot of height and reach on him.

They ALL do! Tank has done it. Every single boxer in the history of the sport (minus heavyweight and the super light weight classes) has always and will always continue fighting extremely underweight. Their bodies crash and are drained to make weight and then they turn around and pack back on 10-15 pounds post weigh in. That is not healthy at all.

Evidence of this is Tank’s history of weight problems on the scale. He had weight issues on multiple occasions. His body is telling him no he is then forcing it into starvation to make a weight. They all do it and it should be a banned practice. Not because of advantages but due to the danger involved. If Tank has had a history of making weight then Garcia is absolutely correct 140 may be his most comfortable. Think about it for a second; it’s much easier to put on weight healthily than it is starve your body to force it into a weight it doesn’t belong. The only reason not to move up to a more natural weight is fear of one’s power carrying forward into harder hitting divisions.

The bold: How many times has he missed weight? One time? Don't mention belts to me. People exaggerate too much these days.

Ryan should fight JoJo Diaz first at a catchweight above 135 because he's not ready for Tank. If Garcia can KO/TKO Diaz, I think he'd be as ready as he ever could be.

I like JoJo but he's a C level boxer. None of that would prepare him for Davis. And this is the last chance: Take the fight now or beat it. Only at 135, no catchweight, not even 136. Put in the work and fight or STFU. You are not good enough to be accommodated.

And the circus begins....I'm no fan of neither guy, but Garcia was calling for this fight at 135 for a while along with others and what did Tank do? Goes up to 140 for a paper belt and a meaningless fight. Now all of sudden the weight is an issue, let's keep it real, weight was never the issue, it seems like Tank is trying to avoid guys like Haney, Loma, Garcia ect ect. I bet if this fight doesn't get made, Tank will just look for another easy opponent, if he doesn't want to go up to 140 cool, then fight anyone relevant at 135 instead of the guys he has been fighting with maybe the exception of pitbull, a rematch would be interesting, I doubt pitbull gets one though.

I have always loved Davis' skills with how he approaches fights with a different game plan and knows when it is time to bring down the hammer. But as I mentioned the day after the Romero fight, I was very impressed how he is so much more relaxed in interviews now that he has a daughter. In the ring, he is much like a Cobra, he doesn't waste a lot, he gets to the point when it is time to strike. I think he stops Garcia if they fight.

I do favor Tank regardless if Garcia beats Diaz by KO but from a training standpoint, Goosen needs at least 1 more with Garcia and Diaz is probably the easiest to make.

Imo Ryan needs to work on his lead foot or Tank will make it look extremely easy.
