I think Garcia might get AJ knocked out. AJ does need to be more aggressive but on the counter.

Being aggressive is the key to Joshua winning. He tried to outbox Usyk in fight 1, which was a mistake. While Joshua can box, he's not the better boxer. He's the stronger boxer. He's better off being aggressive, because his stamina is an issue. He might be able to hurt or stop Usyk early. If he doesn't hurt Usyk (or get his respect) early, Usyk will be in good shape late in the fight. Joshua will be in trouble again if it's late in the fight and Usyk is fresh. He'll be a sitting duck because he's bound to tire.

Grandpa knows what he's doing with AJ. Aggression was missing, but AJ must reach a high level of conditioning for this fight, and also his skills need to improve a great deal, defense needs to tighten up. Usyk will be stronger maybe faster and in even better shape than last time. And he will be sharper and maybe more aggressive, having just returned from war. He won't be scared of Joshua one bit

I don't really buy what Garcia says. You need to have particular physical attributes to be that type of fighter and Joshua's glass jaw is a big issue. Look at someone like Mike Tyson - even with that fast bobbing style he still took some huge shots on the way in at times. You need a good chin. At the same time Joshua has to go for the KO, so this is probably his best chance but I don't see it working.

A.J hardly threw any power punches in the first half of the Usyk fight averaged about 5/7 power punches , against Pulev he threw 44 in round 3 and landed almost half of them and had Pulev looking to jump out of the ring . People are going to see when you use numbers in boxing it comes into play , A.J throws more punches and power punches then Fury who most think has better stamina . Maybe over a course of a fight with a lower pace but A.J has already kept up with Usyk fir 12 rounds and threw more punches there as well , I think Usyk is in big trouble because I actually looked at the numbers going into this .Last edited by REDEEMER; 07-20-2022, 01:01 PM.greeneye99

They know he has the ability, and the armament to cause some damage vs Usyk. It is just about everything aligning.
Tactics, preparation, attitude etc.
For me, I think one of the major factors in him winning is? His conditioning. And I am not one of these people who over exaggerate his stamina issues.
Nobody in this era of heavyweights, has great stamina. All of these super heavyweights for me, none have super elite endurance.
Tyson Fury's endurance is completely overrated. He was wasted after a few rounds vs Wilder II 'Which was meant to be one of his best performances'.
And even against Kiltschko, he did not exactly go through the gears 'And the fight was not fought at a really high intensity'.
Joshua at 250 pounds vs Kiltschko fought for a long duration at a high intensity. One of the main reasons why he won that fight was his endurance.
Getting up off the deck, and coming through the bombardment of Kiltschko 'Required a certain level of endurance'.
Since Joshua has been coming in around 240 pounds and under, his endurance, durability and punching power has gone backwards.
It is not just the numbers I look at, it is the performances which come with them. If Joshua had performed great at these weights, I would not even bring it up.
I think Joshua needs to be a tad heavier, between 242-245 pounds. Joshua actually performed well vs Pulev and his conditioning was a bit better.
But then vs Usyk, it went backwards once again.
A.J has rarely come in under at 240 ,unless they actually do a final weigh in leading up to the fight we don’t actually know what their real weight is which in boxing has always been annoying with early weigh ins the day before . But going on the weigh ins A.J should be 247/248 for Usyk in the style he’s planning to attack with .
A.J has a few options to win this fight but if he fights like he did against Pulev it’s a certain win for him there’s little Usyk can do about that kind of A.J and the reality is he’s probably going to get the best A.J we’ve seen so the odds are stacked against Usyk here , if he shows up and hopes to win he would have to put on a crazy performance because anyone hovering about 220 naturally has definitely got their work cut out this time .Last edited by REDEEMER; 07-20-2022, 12:28 PM.

Now we will hear all kinds of speculation about how the older klit that Joshua fought was a better version than the version Fury fought.
