What people seem to overlook, is that Joshua is a innately aggressive fighter.

This stigma, or stereotype that he is petrified only really gained traction after his loss to Ruiz Junior.

Joshua is a aggressive fighter. It is just that his inside game is nothing special, and he has no idea how to fight a big man styled fight.

But if Joshua had his own way, on his best day. He would always chose to blast his opponents out with mid-range combinations and aggression.

So Garcia's task is for me, stimulate Joshua's natural aggression. And teach him how to use his own dimensions, how to actually fight a half decent big man styled fight.

If Garcia can do this? Usyk will be in a lot of trouble. I honestly don't think past great Super Heavyweight would be unsure in what way to fight Usyk.

When Wilder faced Fury, a big deal was made about Fury's strength. Fury pushing Wilder about, and wrestling him on the inside.

Wilder tried to negate this by, strengthening himself and bulking up to over 230 + pounds. Wilder was stronger than he has ever been in the 3rd fight, in terms of brute strength. But he was not quite 100% functional at the weight, it was almost as if his body had not physiologically acclimatized to the weight.

Strength for Strength, I don't think Tyson Fury is stronger than Joshua. Even the Joshua who comes in at 240 pounds and under, strength for strength is probably stronger than Fury.

It is just that inside of a boxing ring, I don't think Joshua knows how to apply his strength. I think he is terrible in the clinch, and does not know how to disrupt fights and wrestle.

This era of heavyweights, none of them seem to know how to use rough house tactics. All accept Tyson Fury, and then maybe some fighters when you go down the levels like Derek Chisora.

A.J hardly threw any power punches in the first half of the Usyk fight averaged about 5/7 power punches , against Pulev he threw 44 in round 3 and landed almost half of them and had Pulev looking to jump out of the ring . People are going to see when you use numbers in boxing it comes into play , A.J throws more punches and power punches then Fury who most think has better stamina . Maybe over a course of a fight with a lower pace but A.J has already kept up with Usyk fir 12 rounds and threw more punches there as well , I think Usyk is in big trouble because I actually looked at the numbers going into this .
Yeah you’re right. A lot of people here show their ass via their biases. Some arguments are painful.

For me, I agree. I’m critical of AJ as a boxer, but I totally agree that his keeping somewhat of a pace with Usyk was noteworthy. Watching them was like watching MWs fighting.

Ofc, everyone round here though Fury-Wilder 3 was better. Maybe it was, but to me it was just 2 giant knackered men slugging at each other: good in its own way, but don’t come and tell me both have superior stamina to AJ on that evidence.

That ability to bite down and put it on the line when you have to is something that comes from within. AJ hasn’t had it for years and you don’t really get it back once it’s gone.
Klitschko got it back against Joshua Ironically, its just that he was 41 years old and didn't have the stamina to go with it.

Joshua needs to have the same mentality klitschko had in their fight.

A.J when landing 15/20 power shots in any round from rounds 1 to 6 has always stopped his opponents maybe except Povetkin he didn’t hit him much but his work rate was near 40 punches per round and it was over in 7 rnds . Same against Parker he didn’t land many power shots but he was also keeping it at the same gear . That went 12 with very limited power shots thrown .

Now that’s just one round if he lands 20 power shots , if he does it to Usyk early he already has a probability rate of 90% of winning which I take into account he did hit Usyk over 20 times with power shots but these were later rounds . His power shot total was awful in that one and if he starts early it is going to be a bad night for Usyk unless he catches A.J which is slim chance here if A.J is throwing firepower at him because no one’s done it and it wasn’t like Usyk was beating A.J from corner to corner .

A.J doubled his punch out put against Ruiz in the rematch and it wasn’t close with limited power punching , if he maintains a 30 punch plus count every round with enough power shots exceeding 15 a round on average I think this is going to be a stoppage win for A.J he has 12 rounds to land a certain amount of power shots to either stop or hurt Usyk enough fir the win it’s just a matter of simple out put he needs to get him the results.

Smart money is on A.J . He has the easier task .

Most liked the Fury vs Wilder fight better because it was more drama , Usyk is harder to deal with so it was a chess match like two guys fencing . I don’t know I watched the A.J fight more just because there’s more to take in little things you miss so I lost count on that one but I’d say the average fan will like Fury more they aren’t interested in dissecting fights they want action .

BUT ALAS! this sets the stage to make that first comparison Joshua fans love to make lol, the fighting of Klitsko.... So while Joshua went life and death with an older Klit, and Fury fought perhaps the closest one can to a perfect tactical fight... Somehow this comes out in the wash as "joshua showed great resolve, and Fury could not make it through the gears." Actually? Fury didn't need to make it through the gears and Joshua fought an older Klitsko life and death... But no! this is about the resolve of Joshua! lol. A clear indication he is a killer!

Now we will hear all kinds of speculation about how the older klit that Joshua fought was a better version than the version Fury fought.

Why didn't AJ get the Victory in the fight then?
