Even if JMM loses to Floyd, he will still be p4p #2 IMHO. Usually if a p4p fighter loses, I drop them a few slots down or off the list completely if they get murked.

BUT, the circumstances of the Floyd/JMM fight are so skewed in favor of Floyd, I won't drop JMM from his spot, even in the worst scenario (JMM gets brutally KTFO in round 1).

Where would you have Floyd? Or would it depend on how impressive he looks? Because some people think he should automatically jump back to #1 (which is absurd.)

Doesnt ****ing matter...JMM took the fight knowing the risk..which means he risks his #2 spot...OBVIOUSLY.

um as far as the weight goes. floy NEVER SAID the fight was at 144. the media said it. juan knew days before the weigh in floyd wasnt gonna be 144.

did you see floyd? the guy was shredded! we've never seen him that lean, and thats saying a lot! so obviously he took training seriously. ever think maybe he didnt have an extra 2lbs to cut?? maybe thats why he never signed for 144 in the first place? theres no exact science to making weight. i guess you would have rather him come in depleted and cheat the fans by giving a dela-hydrated performance, and and cut his career short.. that wouldve been the smarter thing, right??

the funny thing is, anybody who knows boxing knows floyd isnt gonna beat juan because he's bigger. he's just better than juan. they couldve weighed in at 144, it wouldnt matter..

I respect JMM a great deal and even I don't agree with this. The only way I could see it is if Floyd got a gift decision. JMM should drop a couple spots if he loses this fight decisively, but I think that Mayweather also should not automatically be #2. That reward should go to Paul Williams if he beats Kelly Pavlik. That is a guy who is really challenging himself even though Pavlik is a novice compared to JMM in the boxing skill department.

How does Marquez lose ground for losing a fight he is expected to?

so if Mayweather weighed 144 Marquez would have more of a shot to win?
