    Right message, wrong messenger.

Because all of the best at 135 are split across the 3 networks I feel as though the undisputed comes with an * because it’s damn near impossible to clear out the division. The top guys in no order are Haney, Loma, Tank, & Ryan. There’s no chance that these guys all fight and one comes out on top. That would truly feel like undisputed.

unfortunately for all four of those guys mentioned, none of them have the star power to jump networks & fight all who are considered the best at 135. Canelo only has the kinda pull and aside from David Benavidez he fought all the other top guys at that weight. David screwed himself by losing the belt on the scales

I love ward, but when did he fight, ever, with no belts on the line?

He even made Dawson drain himself down to 168, so he could beat him for 2 belts. You posters need to be careful what boxers you quote.

The belts don't mean s#!t, unless the guy holding them is someone you feel you have a good chance of beating.

You are quite right here, but times are changing, especially for people with big names.
Who wouldn't fight Gervonta Davis without belts? Ryan is almost there as well.

        Let's see what happens tonight.

Lol. Ryan was mandatory and ducked Haney. Haney was on Dazn, and now Espn, yet Tank still won't fight him.

The division has been cleared. 1 guy holds all the belts.. Loma fights on Espn, so no reason for him to jump networks. The only guy who believes he's above the belts is tank, who has beaten Cruz, Barrios, and Ramiro..let's call it what it is at this point. The dude is 27, and has held 1 legitimate title, in his career.

I agree, but surely he'd make more money fighting Haney for Undisputed, than he's making fighting Fortuna, correct?

I can understand if sanctioning bodies are preventing fights from happening, then f 'em.

I don't want to get involved in fighters saying f the belts, because they're not keen on who's holding them. Once that precedent gets set, boxing will be a whole lot worse off than it is now. Guys don't carr about becoming champions anymore? It's all about who they can make the most money fighting? And us fans are giving them the green light?

I'm completely involved in fighters saying screw the belts, especially when they have a big name. Save your sanctioning fees. We cannot have four 'champions.' Haney beat ONE bum for all those trinkets.

Your last paragraph suggests that fighters like Davis and Garcia might be scared of Haney. That's completely crazy. Nobody is scared of Haney.

If Davis fought and beat Haney for those belts, I wouldn't call him anything like "undisputed" or trash like that. Beating one guy for these trinkets doesn't impress me at all. The work just begins. Fight all the best in the division, as you and the fans deem fit, and never follow belts' rankings or that garbage thing they call the "Ring" or any other website.

'Save your sanctioning fees.' Since when did that become a boxing fan's concern?

Dazn charges $20/mo, Showtime charges $80 for Tank's fights...

I'm not on the side of fighters here. I'm fed up with fans being charged for Rolly Romero, and Javier Fortuna fights. I honestly care less about how much Tank and Ryan make for those fights. As a boxing fan, and one who actually pays when a fight warrants it, I think I have the right to demand good fights.

I honestly don't care whether Ryan fights Tank or Haney. I don't care if Tank fights Ryan or Haney...just fight a threat.

But when they fight guys like Fortuna and Rolly, while saying "belts don't matter," when anyone with a brain knows they'd make more against Devin Haney for Undisputed, then Javier Fortuna for nothing, then as a fan, I gotta call it like I see it.

For the record, I think Tank stops Haney. But what I won't do, is continue to excuse the dude for not taking tough fights, and charge $80 for fights against Rolly Romero, and Issac Cruz. All the while saying "**** Haney and his belts." If the kid is an easy fight, why continue to make excuses?

Again, I'm a fan who will pay for good fights. I'm not giving Dazn $20 & PBC $80 for no hopers...and I got the money.

I'm just wondering when it became cool for fans to accept mediocre fights, and care about these dude's sanctioning fees?

So, you are OK the corrupt belt orgs robbing these guys for their hard earned money? When did it become OK for real boxing fans to defend these principleless crooked orgs? Why do you care who fights for their belts? Belts are on sale to the highest bidder.
