Until DAZN get football, or at least something like F1, they simply can't compete.

The Prem rights rolling over without anyone able to bid and then not securing BT Sports has left DAZN with just boxing has massively disrupted their plans. I would guess they might not have launched in the UK if they knew those things would happen.

Getting AJ is a huge coup... But only if he wins. Then they have to try and get Fury to agree to fight on DAZN too (or at least joint).

Good marketing though, even if AJ never fights on DAZN

Unsuccessful people on forums fall into this trap in assuming people are as emotional as them. You may not like Hearn, but I don't think Hearn's decision here is emotional. It's way too soon to deem DAZN a failure, and the only people doing it are these strange boxing fans who are emotionally invested in particular promoters.

Hearn is an idiot who completely bungled DAZN's US launch and blew a billion dollars, but there's no issue here.

They'd sold the rights to this fight to Saudi Arabia before the DAZN deal with Joshua was done. Sky Sports had probably already allocated the budget to make a massive bid. DAZN, having just made a big financial commitment to Joshua, didn't feel the need to go much further in for one additional fight.

These threads suggesting some kind of issue or a bad look to DAZN or Hearn are simply wrong.

Not criticising Hearn or the DAZN of which I have subscribed since day 1 , I am just saying DAZN can never match sky , my opinion and abuse is not a reason for debate , I have been very critical of sky and that new promoter of theirs whom have put on pure mismatches since the start,I did like matchroom shows on sky from Barry Hearn to the end

Eddie Hearn would sell his mother to the highest bidder, SKY backed him for years when he needed it...

If Usyk wins again then DAZN is saddled with a severely devalued asset in Anthony Joshua.

it's hard to see AJ losing on the cards. Too much money is at stake.
